Dry Food Vault
Fabulous ... wish it came in different sizes
I usd this for human food storage -- I buy bulk rice, flour & beans (I'm an artisanal tofu / miso / tempeh maker in my spare time#. Have had my first 2 vaults for >5 years and now have 2 more. Reassured by the NSF approval.
I can only repeat what everyone else has said: they're waterproof beyond belief, sturdy, airtight #BTW, to keep insects out of flour, I understand a few bay leaves up near the top work wonders as a repellant#. My only regret is that they don't come in smaller sizes -- I now buy my rice in 25-30 bags #I have Japanese brown, haiga [partially milled brown], brown basmati and jasmine) and don't need full size for each.
I just pick up a stainless steel scoop when I buy the vault and keep it inside the vault. Makes serving easy. Don't know what I'd do without these food vaults.

Difficult to *dry* so LINE the vault w/ a thick plastic bag & THEN either pour in your pet food or place pet food bay within (personally, I don't like keeping the original bags b/c I'm afraid of bugs).
I wish the Container store had each of the next 2 sizes down (hello? cats? small dogs? Don't need a 40lb container!). I have a smaller version and it's the BEST container ever! (have had at least 5 years).
So sturdy that I've used it as a step-stool ;-)
Where I bought it is a complete lie as there was no other option.

I purchased one about a year ago for flour storage and it has been great. I purchased this one for powdered sugar .They are a safe and sanitary way to store large quantities of food . They are also wonderful for long term storage of food.I hope to get another one for granulated sugar also.
