Worth The Price!!!
I hesitated before spending $30 on a cookbook stand BUT I'm glad I bought it. It is sturdy, protects my books, and looks great in my kitchen. I keep a favorite recipe displayed. It's from an old cookbook that my mother used to recreate a recipe my great-grandmother made. Mor-Mor never wrote anything down so Mother watched her, Swedish cookbook in hand, making adjustments to a printed recipe as my great-grandmother made HER grandmother's Swedish meatballs. I wouldn't want anything to ruin that page. While I use this for all of my cookbooks, that page is always displayed in my kitchen. This stand will hold the thickest of books just as well as the thin ones. The look is crisp and clean and goes with any decor.

very useful and sturdy
I am very glad that I purchased this cookbook holder. It is attractive and does a good job protecting the pages of the book, while holding it open so that it is easy to read. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5, is that the metal part is sometimes a bit hard to get into place and slides around sometimes. But once it is holding the book, there is no problem. Would definitely recommend this product.

A Cookbook Holder That Really Works
The "Stainless Steel Cookbook Holder" is a product that really works. The design and weight are sufficient to stabilize most cookbooks,in order to keep the pages of interest open and clean. Bravo!

Terrific Display Item!
I use this cookbook holder for two reasons: 1.) To display cookbook photography to match the seasons and 2.) to actually use it as a cookbook stand. I have many different size cookbooks with many different types of bindings (spiral, yarn, staple, hard bound, soft bound...) and this holder can accommodate all of them! Some of my bigger books aren't exactly protected from splashes by the plastic screen, but it does certainly save a lot of them. The adjustable base is so simple and elegant looking that it matches every single kitchen decor I've lived through. Now it rests in the corner of my rustic kitchen and it is very lovely. The only complaint is the plastic cover seems to get more scratched up and looks cheap compared to the stainless steel base. Otherwise, I love this product and would purchase it again or give it as a gift.
