Awesome except the mildew First I will say that I have three of these. I originally bought one for under my dishrack by the sink and one for under my coffee maker to catch accidental spills. I ended up buying a spare so that I would have one ready when the other goes to wash. They are nice looking, and stay nice looking after washing and drying. They absorb well, although the counter underneath my dishrack does end up wet, but I'm guessing a lot of water gets dripped there. The only reason I didn't give five stars is because if these are used in a wet area (like under the dishrack) and not given a chance to dry out (like hanging it up to dry) it will get mildew/mold spots. I do realize this will happen with anything that stays wet but I never had that problem when using a folded dish towel under my dishrack, but that might be due to the fact that this mat is more absorbent and holding more water and taking longer to dry out. In any case, it is machine washable, so as long as I remember to swap them out to get cleaned every week or so, it stays clean. December 30, 2010
couldn't live without it I live in a really small studio with very limited kitchen/counter space and this has been a lifesaver for doing the dishes. I used to just set things on a paper towel to dry but it was messy and used up a lot of counter space. This thing is great for absorbing moisture and I can stack a lot of dishes on it at once without worrying about them falling over or off the mat. It's well constructed and sits in place on the counter without any slippage. May 17, 2011
Functional and unobtrusive! Love this dish drying mat! It is the perfect thing to place next to the sink for items that need to be hand washed. I previously used dish towels but they always looked messy and were wet or damp. This mat absorbs the water and items air dry quickly and can be put away. I returned to the store and bought two more. Both colors are nice but the gray disappears and is hardly noticed on the granite counter top. April 21, 2014
Moldy Mat I'm very unhappy with this product. We have been using the mat for about a month. It's on our granite countertop with the bamboo dish drainer on it. IT HAS GROWN MOLD ON IT! This is disgusting. I washed it - it's still there. I washed it again with bleach and hot water. It's still there. August 12, 2012

Microfiber cleaning cloths are exceptionally efficient. The millions of tiny fibers in each strand attract, absorb and remove all kinds of dirt, dust and bacteria. Plus, microfiber naturally inhibits the spread of bacteria. Whereas traditional cotton cloths push around dirt and germs, microfiber traps it until washed.
It's also an environmentally friendly solution since it's reusable (rather than disposable) - and because it allows you to tackle many cleaning tasks without the need for harsh chemicals.
Microfiber allows you to clean larger surface areas before it has to be laundered. Once washed, it's renewed and ready to go again. To prolong it's effectiveness, do not use bleach or fabric softeners when laundering microfiber. Whenever possible, launder microfiber items by themselves, and never with towels or other items with a lot of lint. And never use high heat settings on microfiber.
