Little shards of plastic I normally love my Container Store purchases, but was very disappointed in this product. Bought in November 2012, but didn't actually open and use them until last week (so past the return date). The first time I used them, when I picked the food up I saw that my knife had sliced into the mat and little shards of plastic lined the many slice marks. Of course, I don't want to use them for any of my food now. This is the first item I've ever bought that I haven't been super-pleased with. So, think twice. April 9, 2013

just don't use the wrong side! Cute cutting mats that have withstood a couple years of use. Color on beginning to wear a bit after many dishwasher runs. Be sure not to use the printed side for cutting - the oil from a salmon steak 'melted' all the blue off where oils came in contact with the printing. In fairness it is labeled which side to use but I accidentally used wrong one and it wasn't pretty! March 25, 2013

Cute AND clean! These cutting "boards" are cute, color coded, thin for easy storage, dishwasher safe, and prevent cross contamination. A brilliant idea. Since I do not eat beef, I use the board with the cow on it as a mat for the cat food dishes. Adorable. April 25, 2012
