FlipFOLD® Laundry Folder 4.8 5 217 217
Love theFlipFOLD I purchased the Original and the Junior size FlipFOLD pair, to help wrangle the mountains of clothing taking over our house. After seeing the FlipFOLD one evening, I made a cardboard one, to "test-drive" the concept, and was immediately hooked. Folding laundry was actually fun! At 1:00 am I was looking around the house for things to fold! I ordered the real deal that day. When I purged and reorganized my son's room, I used the FlipFOLDs for his shirts, then folded them in half again, and "filed" them in his drawer. Not only is the drawer neater, but I was able to fit more shirts in the drawer! And, now he can see exactly which shirt he wants, without having to dig for it, and he doesn't forget about those shirts that used to be at the bottoms of the stacks in the drawer. My husband wasn't completely convinced of the space savings, so I reorganized his over-stuffed dresser - while he watched. I folded his clothes with the FlipFOLDs, even added some shirts and a couple of sweaters from his closet, and he ended up with an organized dresser, and an empty drawer left over! He's hooked, too! My son (10 yrs.) & daughter (14 yrs.) love using the FlipFOLDs, too. My son still keeps the cardboard version in his room - for "emergency" re-folds. Haha! I've made a lot of "gadget" purchases over the years, and the FlipFOLD is one of my favorites! It's a simple and brilliant solution, which does exactly what it claims. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to add some order to their clothing and linen storage, and have a little fun while doing it... April 25, 2014
Best Purchase Ever My company reecently was hired to organize a extremely busy model. She had three dressers full of expensive Tee shirts. As you can see from the picture the tees were placed neatly but not very orderly. I knew I needed help. I went on line looking for the cloth folding board but I needed it that day. If I ourchased it on line I would have to wait for delivery in a few days. I needed it that day. I found it at the Container Store cheaper than on line. The staff was helpful and professional . I was in and out wiht my product and a few other goodies that I could not resist. My customer was so pleased with the results that we made a video and pasted it to our website. Not only does the drawers look better but we were able to condense the three dressers full of tee shorts to just one dresser. It looks great, saved space and made us look like super heros. Thanks so much February 16, 2013
Best Closet Organizer! As soon as I saw this online, I immediately knew it would be the best way to organize my closet. Before I purchased this item, I tried many other ways of organizing, like using baskets. But, the stacks always were different sizes and tilted to the side. After I bought this item, I tried using it for my t-shirts first, and loved the way the stacks stood very tall and straight. Then I tried the rest of my shirts, and both stacks were the same size and shape! The FlipFOLD also does not slow you down in folding. In all, I highly recommend the FlipFOLD to anyone, especially those seeking an organized closet. April 27, 2014
So easy to fold laundry! I made this type of shirt folder myself years ago with paper boxes, and I used it for a long time but it was time to change to a nicer material because the paper was getting out of shape over years. I love this material, it doesn't creat electricity between clothes and folder, and it folds nicely. If you haven't used any laundry folder, this is going to help you reduce time to fold laundry and stress of folding laundry dramatically. April 21, 2013

My 11 year old girls have long, skinny shirts and it doesn't look like this would work so well on them.

Answer:
There is a smaller one. If Container Store doesn't carry it, you can probably find it online. I don't have kids, but I use the smaller one for items like my camisoles and my husband's boxers.

Can this fold bath towels?

The towel in the video looked thinner to what we use. Can this be used on larger, thicker bath towels?

Answer:
I use it for bath towels, even super-heavy oversized ones (and also for beach towels). I just start by folding them in half before I lay them on the flipfold, making sure one side of the folded towel aligns with the side of the flipfold (same with the top). If there's any overhang on the bottom, I fold that up to make it even. Then I flip the sides. It sounds complicated when you try to describe it to someone else, but it's actually quite simple. I use the same method for other large items, like sheets and tablecloths.

The video only shows short-sleeve shirts being folded, so it makes me skeptical about its ability to fold long-sleeve items.

Answer:
There are directions included. The sleeves are folded straight across from left to right. A long sleeve will be folded twice. Don't worry. It works also for longer shirts. Just fold tp the bottom to fit onto the form before doing the "flips."

It would be nice to have for shirts and pants, but I do a relatively good job of folding without the help of this device. However folding sheets - especially the bottom sheet - is much harder. Does this device work for bed linens - or do they just mean towels?

Answer:
If you can get the fitted sheet folded neatly in quarters (you know, where all the corners are nested inside each other), and lay it on the FlipFold so that the straight/even sides line up with two edges of the board, you can manually fold in the excess (the two messy sides), using the FF as a template. Then flip and fold, and it should come out in a nice, rectangular package.
