Lighted Revolving Tie Rack
Immediately Broke - But Still Works
Great idea for tie and belt storage. However, after my husband installed this in his closet and hung his belts and ties on it (which, by the way, did not by any means fill up all of the hooks), the casing that goes around your closet hanging bar broke and the whole thing came crashing down. This happened literally within minutes of him installing it, likely because it's made of plastic. When it fell, several of the belt/tie hooks (also plastic) broke off, but that's not a huge deal since there are so many of them. Unfortunately, my husband immediately threw out the original packaging and decided he didn't want to try to return it. With lots of duct tape, we were able to re-secure it in his closet and, a few months later, it's hasn't fallen again.
I was torn over how many stars to give this product given how quickly it broke and it's price, but, with the duct tape, is it serving it's purpose and holds all of my husband's belts and ties in his closet while only using a small amount of hanging space. It does still rotate despite the tape.

does the job...
for what it says it should do, it does a good job. My only issue with it is that the top part that screws down onto the closet rod, isn't very sturdy. If you twist too far, it can snap part of the plastic that holds it onto the bottom section...
Also, when putting ties on, make sure you space them out. If you just put them all on one side, it will tilt the gadget. Luckily my hubby has enough ties that they balance out.

Cheap, Poorly Made, and Sounds like it is dying
I returned this to the store. The Container Store always stands behind their products, so you can buy anything with confidence from them. I've spent thousands of dollars at the Container Store because of that. This was just a bad purchase, so I returned it. Instead I'm using 2 of their wall mounted tie racks. This item sounds like it is dying, even with 4 fresh C batteries. It moves slowly also. Light is useless.

Not that good
I purchased this tie rack after the one I had died after 10 years. The new one holds an adequate number of ties and they are easy to access as the rack turns. Negatives are that the motor is quite noisy (which may wake up anyone who is sleeping nearby) and the screw-clamps that hold the rack to the closet rod are ideal for a round rod, but not for one that is flat. It will remain on the flat rod, but the rack swings a bit back and forth as the it turns.
This is an adequate product, but, in my opinion, would be improved by fixing these 2 issues.
