excellent food storage
I don't like to store leftovers in plastic containers. These glass containers are perfect. They are easy to use. I had tried some others from another store, and I couldn't get the lids on or off. These give a firm seal without being impossible to use.

3 Years Out, Still in Great Shape
I love these containers-- the glass is very sturdy, and despite a few clumsy drops on my part, all 4 that I purchased in various sizes have never shattered. The plastic lids have a tendency to melt if you accidentally pour boiling water over them when straining pasta (ahem), but not to a point where they are unusable (just a little trickier to fit to the container). Would definitely buy again if they weren't so durabel that I didn't have to!

Best all-purpose storage and reheating
Love these glass containers - thick enough to resist breakage, great sealing lids, dishwasher friendly. They are perfect for absolutely everything except packing lunches for the kids. That's when I turn to plastics from the Container Store.

Durable & Functional
My husband and I had purchased two different sizes of these several years ago. Then, we decided to purchase more of them because they are so wonderful for leftovers and holding fresh foods (to keep them fresh longer). The glass is a thick, sturdy glass that you can feel confident about putting in the microwave (with the lid off, or else the food may stain the plastic lid) and in the dishwasher. Glass is the safest material to heat up foods in the microwave and to keep clean. Also, it never gets stained from having tomato-based (and other) food items stored in it for long periods of time. The lid may get stained (since it is a white plastic), but we are just careful not to have our leftovers go directly to the top of the bowls, and we always take the lid off and put a napkin over the glass when we heat up foods in the microwave. It works out great! These are the BEST for storing food (whether fresh or dry) and best of all, they are made in the USA! :) We have owned them for several years and bought more of them!
