Organization Strikes! A Crafter's Dream Come True
Calling all crafters, no craft room is complete without several of these shelves. I've tried many different shelving options and have finally found the one I've been looking for. Prior to finding these shelves, I've used other less than successful offerings from other big box stores. All of the prior options were not as flexible and in the end I ended up returning them. My craft room was in disarray and I needed a solution quickly. Fast forward, to the a few weeks before my trip and I was in the store to get my supplies. I happened to stop in the closet organizer section on my way out and say these shelves. I was quickly intrigued and when I found out they come in multiple sizes I was hooked.
The versatility of these units is what makes them great for my craft room. In addition to the sizes, is also the number of basket options and plastic liners that let me keep all my craft things safe and sound no matter how big or small. The price is also right in line with other storage units I've considered purchasing in the past, but these are of a much higher quality (metal vs. plastic). I was so impressed with the sturdiness that I went back and purchased the optional Driftwood Melamine Tops to store my crafting machines and items that I use most often.
On the whole, these units are great and can be used in practically any situation that requires a way to organize a room in your home that seems to be in a constant state of disarray. For me, that room was my craft room. I had stickers hanging from the ceiling and punches in a laundry basket. Now my craft is neat and tidy and even labeled thanks to the add-on label holders that I purchased as well. The options are endless and if you end of purchasing them youâll be asking yourself two questions afterwards? First, why didn't I find these before and second when can I go and purchase more!

Best Craftaholic Organization System EVER!!!
I have been crafting, sewing, making jewelry, candles, home cosmetics and more for over 30 years and nothing - and I do mean nothing - has helped me get more organized with my supplies than my Elfa Drawer system! Once you make something there are always the tools and odd assorted materials left over that need a home and Elfa, with it's modular system that I can add to at my own pace and configure to my own unique needs, is amazing. I tell all my artist pals about it, and everyone who comes to my house and sees it is madly jealous... until they go out and get their own - which many of them do once they realize nothing even comes close to matching it. I hate marketing but I would happily wear a button every day that said, "I <3 my Elfa!", or "Ask me about my Elfa Addiction". My love is true and steadfast. I shall never leave thee Elfa, nor stray again. xo

Elfa Drawers and Frame
I purchased medium 10 runner frame for my art studio. It was a snap to put together and now all my creative stuff is right at hand, easy to pull out of the drawers, and no longer in messy boxes. I was pleasantly surprised at how much capacity the frame and drawers had.

Perfect for my tinny closet
I had a few of those plastic drawers in my tinsey-tiny New York City apartment, they were fine until I decided to maximize my space by putting a shelving unit on top of it, no bueno! I bought my 7-runner medium unit during the elfa sale, really expensive otherwise. I recommend watching the videos of how to put it together, their instructions are not very informative. Once I figured out the correct way to hold the unit, i was on fire. I was working so quickly, I accidentally installed one side upside-down. Panicked, I called Elfa's customer service (at 9PM) and they told me to bang out the side with the hammer, my boyfriend was able to do it it 2 swings. I used a regular hammer and didn't dent the unit.
Initially, I bought three 2-runner drawers for my unit, thinking i could put a few pairs of shoes under it, not the best idea or use of space, I ended up getting a 1-runner drawer for the bottom and it can fit like 10 sweaters. Great use of space and holds a ton of stuff.
