Platinum elfa Laundry Door & Wall Rack Solution
Replaced an entire linen closet
We repurposed our main floor linen closet into a snug stacked laundry closet, but where to put the linen closet contents? We needed all the space we could get on the door, which meant adjustable shelving. Elfa gave us this, and the mounting hardware meant it would be completely hidden behind the door. But the best feature is actually not advertised--its metal construction can handle a ton of weight (read liquid detergent) without ever bowing or damaging the door. It's strong, minimalist, adjustable, and looks great! Who needs a linen closet when you have a door?!

Great closet door storage
I have three of these on the back of closet doors and they hold a lot of items, freeing up interior shelf space. You're taking wasted space and utilizing it efficiently. If I had another door that would accommodate one, I'd be back to purchase another.
One thing I would caution, putting the vertical support on can be a bit of a trial. I found if I tilted the bottom slightly way from the door, it helped keep the top from falling off. Count to ten if you get frustrated. It is definitely worth it in the end.

Redid a crowded laundry room with Elfa everything and it turned out beautifully. I love the Elfa products. They are well made, easy to install and worth every penny, especially during their sales!

Laundry Door & Wall Rack
I broke all the rules. I have 2 of these & neither is in the laundry.
One is on the back of the door to the basement (facing the basement stairs) where I keep cleaning stuff including the emergency carpet spot remover, batteries, spare bulbs, raffia for tying up plants, my small drill - any small item needed frequently to spare me a trip to the basement. One basket holds items on their way to the basement. Sometimes I clip on bags, etc.
I liked that one so much that I bought a 2nd unit for inside my coat closet. That one contains gloves, mittens, hats, scarves, rain suits & other foul weather gear. I have a basket of heavy duty gloves & one of dress gloves. They stand up nicely with fingers up. Today's purchase was an additional basket for the coat closet unit. I found I could use 8 baskets on that one - they are so handy, love the lift-off feature. The additional basket will hold hot hands & other small items easily lost in the bowels of the closet.
This is a great addition to in-the-closet organizers as the items swing in front of you as you open the door.
