Great for smaller spaces
I used three of these standards to install a double bookshelf on my studio apartment wall. I chose them because I wanted shorter standards. Also, the mounted standards are lower profile than elfa's 'easy hang' standards since they don't require a top track.
My impressions: 1) these standards are very durable and strong components; 2) they are more difficult to install than elfa's 'easy hang' standards and 3) the final result looks great.

So simple to hang
The standards are so easy to hang with quick installation and no holes. I'm the kind of person who likes to change configuration of my closets when needed. I've changed the configuration of my son's closet as he's grown and its been easy and quick. The Elfa shelving is nice looking as well as functional.

Great Purchase!
I wanted to empty two shelved in my pantry - my daughter and her kids moved in, and space was at a premium. Between us, we had more spices than would fit on the six shelf Elfa rack offered - and if you purchase that rack online you are not allowed to add extra baskets. What to do? I poked around enough to find the "customize this" link!
This standard, two commercial fasteners, and as many baskets as you want make the door rack.
We got it home and installed it - the commercial fasteners are made for deeper doors, so right now there are two large wooden wedges as shims on the outside of the door (ick!) but they will morph into pieces that fit just under the metal in time.
The shelves popped in like childs play - really, the 9 and 12 year olds put them on - and all the spices were arranged alphabetically by the 8 year old with a stepladder. With the shims it is VERY steady - and I have no qualms about shutting the door. The baskets are perfect for my spice jars (I did measure the jars before ordering) and the additional larger baskets hold supplements and medicines at the top.
Thanks, Container store!
