Great idea, execution could use some improvement. These backstop pins look so little and stupid. But, they really do the job, and are great at preventing you from pushing the drawers too far into the unit. I only have 2 complains: First, the ones you put in the top runners of the unit must be installed before installing the top crossbars. Otherwise, you will not have enough room to put the pins in (considering how close the crossbar and the runners are to one another). Hard to explain. But, you get it, when you're looking at a unit... Second, once you slip them into the little holes, they can easily fly out, as you are hammering the other pieces of the unit together-- or even after you are finish assembling the unit, while you are moving the unit wherever you would like it to sit. It would be great if they were more like a little nut + bolt combo. That way they would remain in place forever but, with a little unscrewing, could easily be removed from the unit. March 7, 2014
Not up to Elfa standards These backstop pins fall out very easily and could have been designed so much better. If they simply fit in the holes snugly it would be an improvement. February 26, 2014
Poor Design I do like the concept of having Drawer Back Stops, however they are a challenge, especially the top drawer since you have to use a mallet to place the brace in, these just jump and don't stay in the holes. I think that some type of clip may be a better solution, maybe a shape similar to a squared off U with tips/bumps towards the inside of the U that would click into the holes.... just a thought. desperately needs to be better made! These pins are a disaster. For such a high quality system like the Elfa, I would think that these pins would be made better. They need to have a tighter fit - I am finding that mine come out all the time. They need to be made of metal instead of the cheap plastic they are made of. When they stay put, they will do their job. I have considered super gluing my in the hole. C'mon ELFA makers - yall can do better February 21, 2013
