Why didn't I try this sooner?
It has taken me WAY too long to add sidecars to my Elfa because I've always fit the units into spaces where they just fit. Then I got a gift wrap cart and began to look at that little basket and get ideas... Hey! That would be a good place to keep my flat boxes! ... Hey! I could keep my current knitting project in one of those! ... Hey! Maybe I'd better get a few extras so I'm ready the next time inspiration strikes! I did and it has ;-)

Excellent Basket can be used with Hangmate / Alone
This Basket is excellent, we purchased for our laundry for Standalone use, it has too holes at the end for mounting. The Basket is of high quality.

would like liners but still 5 star!
I used these as shoe baskets in narrow spaces behind my door in my closet. I used media dividers to keep pairs upright. It works so much better than the shoe racks that sit on the floor because shoes can't slide off the racks (which was a major problem for us). They take up no floor space so the floor is completely clear. They didn't use valuable drawer or shelf space like the other elfa shoe components since my husband and I seem to have more shoes than we realized! The rest of the closet was elfa-nize beautifully but if shoe racks had been added we would have lost too much other storage space. I would have liked liners just so the dress shoes had something to sit on but, all in all, this creative solution to narrow spaces in the closet have corraled all of the loose shoes on the floor, made use of typically unusable space, and made us both very happy. Yea!!!

Fantastic elfa Addition!
I bought three of these baskets to go along with my custom elfa, which I use as a vanity. I have the wide 7-runner in white mesh, and while I was a bit disappointed that these do not come in mesh, they still are amazingly functional. Since they don't make liners for this item, I used white shelf liner (which I purchased in the kitchen section of the Container Store) to line them so little things stay in place, and nothing slips around or through the grids. I use these to store palettes, makeup removers, extra makeup bags, and other products that I need daily but hate having them all sit out on top. They are a great size - large and sturdy enough to be effective, but not so large they look ridiculous. They were also super easy to install as they just sit right on top of the runner part! Overall this was a great purchase that makes my elfa even more efficient!
