Our Butcher Block Tops are a terrific kitchen work surface. Made of solid Rock Maple wood, they're strong enough to perform as a superior work surface or as a cutting board while you prepare your favorite meals. These tops are designed to fit securely on the elfa Drawer Frames.

The routed underside allows the top to sit securely on the Drawer Frame
Top adds 1" to the width of each side
Not suitable for Drawer Frames joined together with Frame Clips

Moving in My husband and I recently moved into a SMALL basement apartment. We needed to find creative uses of the space we have. We found this little unit that was just the right size for our bathroom, and the top is ALMOST at the same level as the sink. This gave us more drawer space as well as more counter space. I wasn't crazy about the idea of the drawers being somewhat open, but the mesh front and sides seem to camouflage the contents just fine. I'm very pleased with our choice, and would recommend it to anyone with similar needs. May 8, 2013

Love this new top I have purchased Elfa components for several years. I was somewhat disappointed not to find the platinium top available this year but this butcher block top really looks sharp. The design of the top has also changed so that it fits over the frame components not just on top. A great choice! March 18, 2013

Elfa tower with Butcher Block Tops This product has been great. The tower is solid and the butcher block being solid stock is a perfect weight for the base to make the piece feel strong. The top also ages well naturally and gives it an authentic look and feel. Its contemporary meets traditional in the storage category. February 18, 2013

Dresses up the drawers I really like the butcher block on top of my shelving unit. I keep all my baking goodies in the drawers and my mixer on top - it really brings the unit in line with the rest of the room. April 30, 2012
