elfa Ventilated Shelf Label Holders
Not your typical use
They worked very well for what I needed them for. I will continue to use them.

I was apprehensive after reading the first review about these pointing straight up. I bought them anyway, figuring I'd take my chances since I wanted labels on my shelves.
I have had no problems with these. In fact, you can position them so the label will slant up (for lower shelves) or down (for higher shelves), as you can see in my photo (sorry it uploaded sideways so tilt your head to the left).
The only thing that makes me think maybe I shouldn't have got these is that I did not really need them because what my shelves hold is pretty self-explanatory (my friends point out how OCD I am when they see the labels). They might be more useful for labeling different size linens and what-not.

Great addition to my daughters' bathroom
I added these to my cart on a whim during my last elfa purchase, and I will be ordering more. At first I thought it might be too unnecessary and obsessive to label specific spots...until I realized that a month later, things were still getting put away. By my teenage daughters. Who never saw a counter they werenâ¿¿t willing to leave a hair dryer on.
18mm tape in my label maker worked perfectly.
I am not sure about the previous reviewer who had problems with the labels pointing up â¿¿ the label holders have a shaped back which fits around the shelf bars firmly so they canâ¿¿t point up once they're snapped on (see photo). These are only for ventilated shelves, though â¿¿ maybe she was trying to use them for the solid shelving?
I highly recommend.

They don't work
I currently have 5 elfa closets and tried this product on 10 different shelves and they pop up on an angle (facing the ceiling) thus defeating their purpose. They would be 'great' if I were 6'6", but I am not.
