great for oddly sized office My office space is long and narrow. By using the elfa shelving system I was able to create a useful working environment. A friend helped me install it, and it took only a couple of hours. March 18, 2013

Good solid shelving unit For a little while, I was going back and forth on what to do with my office. When I saw this elfa shelving unit, I was very excited because I saw a lot of possibilities for the space. I like the fact that I can organize my things (I accumulated too much books and periodicals for my profession) well and I like that pretty much it's off the floor. It makes look the space bigger than it is. Two problems I encountered with this item: 1) took too much time for me and my friend to assemble the unit; and 2) some items came damaged. For assembling it, it took us about 3-4 hours total and we were exhausted at the end. Some items were pretty heavy. It didn't come with the instructions, so we had to look at the instructions on my phone. It was a chore. For damaged items, I sent some emails to the customer service at The Container Store and they took care of the matter smoothly and generously. I did appreciate their quick response to answer my questions. Overall, I am very satisfied with my purchase. I would definitely recommend this product to anybody! March 10, 2013
