Cheap Pump
While I like the look of this soap dispenser the dispenser itself is cheap. The pump is plastic and not metal. I have had the dispenser for over a year and the reaction between the soap and the plastic pump produces a bluish green gunk that oozes out when you press the pump down. I have to clean it at least once a week if not more.
As other reviews said the opening is too narrow and it is hard not to overfill or have the container overflow when adding soap into the dispenser.

Cheap Pump Design
The pump is made of a very cheap plastic coated in a metallic wrapper. I bought 3 of them for my home and all of them clogged up after just a few uses - used a different soap in each too! Furthermore, a thick, blue, soap residue oozes from the pump top after each use. Pretty disgusting for a sanitary device.

Deco Open Container White
I recently purchased the the Deco Open Container White (Item No. 10054478) to help me with my bathroom organization needs - in particular, with my quest to keep a messy tube of toothpaste away from my bathroom counter top - in an upright position, with toothpaste gunk away from my clean counter.
I was at the Westfield Century City Mall Container Store in hopes to find something to fit that criteria, and BAM! - the Deco Open Container White (Item No. 10054478) just popped out at me - that's the exact thing I was looking for! What can I say? Seriously, it's perfect. Just as I wanted, it keeps toothpaste gunk off my bathroom counter.
The milky white rectangular vessel wipes clean, without leaving any streaks whatsoever. It is also sturdy enough to hold a brand new tube of toothpaste (heavy) or simple toothbrushes (light). It appears to be scratch resistant, unless you purposely scratch it with a sharp object. Another plus is that the shape (rectangular) lends itself for easy storage or wedging between tight spaces (see dimensions if this is a concern). All in all, I'm extremely satisfied with this product and I recommend this purchase.

Cheap and bad design
The top of the soap container is very small so pouring in refill soap is very challenging to the point that you spill quite a bit out no matter how careful you are.
Even worse the tube that descends into the soap reservoir is cut very short and leaves about a third of the soap unreachable.
I wish I never purchased this product and would hope that Container store will carry higher quality soap dispensers in the future.
