White Henley Roll-Out Desk
I Bought this Desk because I really wanted something small and it had to be white. I read the reviews but I had already bought the desk. I went ahead and assembled it and the desk already had chips in several places. Notice after it was all assembled. We only have one container store where I live and they told me this was the last one. And this particular desk can not be bought on line. Well to top it off it is real cheap material. I am not happy with it. I would not recommend this desk. I know now why the price drop. Not worth it!

Very Pleasantly Surprised
The Henley Roll-Out Desk is fantastic. I keep my laptop on the roll-out portion--cords fit through the back when it's rolled out or in, and my closed laptop fits perfectly when I roll it back in for the night. It looks great and the compact size is a real space-saver for the home office.
The concerns I had about putting this desk together proved unfounded. Other reviews mentioned difficulties with the hardware and the rolling mechanism--I'm happy to say I didn't experience any of that. The provided hardware fit well and once the rolling parts were lined up correctly (that part is a two-person job due to weight and size) it rolled smoothly right away. Note that there aren't holes or even pilot holes for the screws; I had the drill ready, but was able to hand-screw them in without any trouble and didn't need the drill. The desk is stable and I was able to immediately use it as designed.

I purchased the Henley Roll-Out Desk and put it together. I had read the bad reviews on the website, but had seen the desk in the store and really loved it. Once we started putting it together, I could see the problems the other reviewers were talking about. The pre-drilled "pilot holes" for the wood screws were altogether too big, and so the wood screws provided with the furniture were inadequate. They would not "bite" and even when we thought they had, the piece fell apart when we set it upright.
After a lifetime of being DIY-ers, my husband and I got out our selection of wood screws and found some just a tad bigger in diameter and just a tad longer, but still with a head small enough to fit into the pre-formed counter-sunk holes, so the screwheads would be recessed. Our wood screws did the trick, but as we screwed them in, we could hear wood crunching. We were drilling bigger, deeper holes, and you risk splitting the wood or the longer screws punching through to the other side, even though we had measured carefully.
Nothing split, and the screws did not come out the other side, and so we managed to construct a nice, sturdy desk.
The roll-out part does not slide so easily as it might, but time seems to be fixing that. I assume there is a lubricant in there that is getting spread around, and the sliding truly is now at an acceptable level.
SO, now that the desk is sturdy and set up, I do love it, and it is quite serviceable. But assembly was not easy, and this is definitely BENEATH expected Container Store quality.

Wanted to Love
Was going to use this as a vanity, since the small desk fit the area I needed perfectly. Unfortunately, trying to assemble this desk was terrible. The desk is incredibly poorly constructed that we couldn't even put it together, despite numerous furniture assembly experience between my husband and I.
