Perfect for Inverts! It may seem like an odd interest but I keep terrestrial tarantulas as spoilt pets. I have found that these shoe boxes are absolutely perfect for them. The box itself has plenty of room for the average size tarantula (a bit too cramped for an adult A. geniculata or a L. parahybana) a hide, water bowl and decorations. The plastic is perfectly clear and doesn't show distortions. They make a very nice display when all set up. There are already holes for ventilation so there is no worry about cracking the plastic while applying your own. The lid is tight while being easy to slide on and off for care requirements. They stack! I have 28 of these and recommend them for anyone with tarantulas. They would probably work great for centipedes and scorpions as well. April 7, 2013

Great Idea for Everything around the House I have been buying the men's shoe box and now have at least ten in my office and closet. They have been great. I can see through them easily and they are reasonably priced. The easy to clean aspect is a big plus. I've used then for storing belts, hats, tights, socks, small bags that I easily throw in my purse, and mail that I check whenever there is free time. I wish more people knew about these shoe boxes.
