Better than your broom! No batteries, no wires, no stress! It works better than my most durable broom and it eats up all the pesty little crumbs from cookies off my rug. Best Invention Ever!! I could not be more pleased with this purchase! I used to work in the restaurant industry and remembered using these sweepers to clean up at night. But had not seen one in years, so when I saw it in the sale ad, I thought, "why not give it a try?" My home has hardwood floors downstairs with a thick shag carpeted upstairs. I use a wonderful Dyson vacuum to tackle the upstairs. But, rather than lug the HEAVY Dyson down the stairs every time I want to clean my short pile and flat weave area rugs, I decided to give the Compact Carpet Sweeper a try. The unit was extremely easy to assemble. Took about two minutes. I passed it across my kitchen rug, a hallway runner, and a door mat. I I couldn't tell if it was picking much up, but when I emptied the canister, I was shocked at how much dirt and dog hair came out! Truly amazing! I don't know if a traditional vacuum would have picked up that much! I also tried it on the kitchen tile floor, and don't think this is where it shines. In my opinion, tile or hardwood floors need to be swept with a real broom. But, for short pile and flat weave rugs, this Carpet Sweeper is my new best friend. It is super compact, very lightweight and stores easily. April 12, 2013
