Connect & Clean® Light Bulb Changers

Replacing bulbs from light fixtures is a cinch with our Connect & Clean® Light Bulb Changers. The Flood Light Bulb Changer has angled suction cups to securely hold and turn most flat or beveled flood lights, including can lights. The Compact Florescent Light (CFL) Bulb Changer has fingers that are spring-loaded to gently grip and turn CFL, standard and incandescent bulbs in a variety of shapes. Both changers are designed to easily snap onto the Connect & Clean® High-Reach Extension Pole (sold separately, listed below) that extends from 4' to 11', so you can reach bulbs up high. These changers are part of the Connect & Clean® complete cleaning system of interchangeable cleaning accessories.

  • Flood Light Bulb Changer has six suction cups at a 5° angle
  • CFL Bulb Changer has six rubber-coated steel fingers

Works for me! I have 10 foot ceilings with recessed lights and hate ladders. I've been looking for a reliable changer and since The Container Store is "my got to" I decided to try this one. As soon as it arrived I tried it out, and yes, I read the instructions and it worked 1st try with no issues. My problem is solved and I'm very pleased. October 26, 2013
Works Well I have used this one time to replace an R30 bulb in a very tight fixture. Replacing bulbs by hand has been very difficult. Using this bulb changer (without the pole) worked very well. Wish I had bought one years ago. January 27, 2013
Doesn't work with LED flood lights I bought this to change out the recessed light bulbs we have in very high places. The incandescent type with a rounded head went okay. I did have trouble getting the suction cups to release (like the other reviewer) and worried about breaking the entire light bulb or socket. I made it work though. For the LED bulbs that I bought for other areas (apparently going to be the only allowable option in WA state somewhat soon), the suction cups are too shallow and wouldn't attach the bulb at all. It has a flat surface, not rounded. The plastic surface has a subtle texture on it so that doesn't help with suction at all. In addition, the LED bulb weighs 1 lb 2.7 oz compared to 3.7 oz for the incandescent flood light bulb. The suction cups on this device aren't strong enough. It's a real bummer because I realized all of this after getting our Little Giant ladder extended to the max and removing the existing bulbs to discover that I have to hire a handyman to change these 30 ft high bulbs. At least the bulbs are supposed to last 20+ years! I know the product description doesn't specifically address LED bulbs, but they are our future. Hopefully a product can be developed to aid in changing these. December 19, 2011
Great for removing lights not so go for installing We have 20 foot ceilings so replacing the lights in our recessed lighting is a challenge. We'd used the standard single suction cup devices but found that the suction cup tended to just twist and spin when you tried to remove an old light so it was basically useless. The 6 suction cups on this product eliminate that problem. Taking down lightbulb was a BREEZE. Even the lightbulb that was misthreaded 3 years ago and has sat there stuck all this time. However, when we went to put in the new bulb you cannot get the suction cups to release because they are so strong. The directions say to tilt from side to side until the plastic collar creates some tension and it releases. However, there is a lot of give in many light fixtures and our ceilings are so high (my husband was on an 8 ft ladder) that we could never get it tilted far enough to one side for it to release. We had to go back to the traditional 1 suction cup pole to put the light bulb back up. September 18, 2011
