Perfect I finally picked up a new TV and didn't like the way I had set it up, so I went looking for alternatives. As a grad student I wanted something either super unbelievably cheap that I could toss when I next move or high quality that would be worth taking with me. This set was perfect, it's modular so as my housing needs change I can rearrange the shelves and expand to fit whatever my current needs are. It's a very good quality and getting it on sale saved me a lot of money, I wouldn't have bought it at full price. Since my current space is pretty small I like the open modern feel but don't think it will be out of place in almost any decor. It's sturdy, even without being attached to the wall (since I can't do that here). The TV is a 26in and there's a little room on both sides so it could probably hold a larger one depending on how big the casing is. Although the back is open, the cords aren't too visible and if I had the time and motivation, I could use black ties and make them completely invisible. I'm still trying to arrange things on the shelves as I like them, but so far it's awesome. This would be great for a dorm or student in small living spaces, however, the uprights are a bit long, so moving them might be a hassle if there's a lot of other stuff to load in the back seat as well. Or just stick with the shorter version. September 9, 2012
Awesome shelves I bought these shelves, mainly because I needed a place to put a printer and to have extra storage. I have a small apartment, so space is precious. These shelves are awesome because it is so versatile. I purchased a few stylish looking storage containers to put on the shelves and they look great. I love the fact that i can move the shelves as my needs change. Another great part of this system is that the feet on the uprights are adjustable. My floors are uneven, so I was able to adjust the feet to make the uprights balanced. I love that the whole system is open, so it doesn't look stuffy like a traditional bookcase. Also, I am girl and I put this together myself. The uprights are light enough to carry by yourself. October 20, 2013
Great versitility I've purchased Connection (R) components since 2008 and have always been satisfied. Their design allow me to change the cofiguration of my bookcases easily. They're solidly built as are the shelves. In addition, I used pickup at the curb for the first time and was very pleased. No need to schlep the kids out of the car - made the purchase/pickup trouble free. May 6, 2014
nearly perfect All the other reviewers said pretty much everything there is to say about how awesome these are so I thought I'd play devil's advocate and list the few negatives I've found. 1. The bottom rung is too low to be able to put a shelf on and still fit a surge protector underneath. Not a big deal for probably 99% of buyers out there, but I bought my shelving unit to be a desk and I have to have the bottom shelf on the second rung from the bottom (about 9" off the ground) which shows all my cords and wires. 2. The shelves don't fit snugly between the front and back of the uprights; there's a half inch space between them and the uprights so they move forward and backward easily. They *do* fit snugly over the rungs, though, so they don't slide from side to side. Again, not a big deal for most buyers who just put them up and leave them alone, but I'm constantly reaching for things on other nearby shelves and the movement is a little unsettling. 3. The height of the rung you'd use for the desk shelf is too high if you intend to put a keyboard on it. It's about 31" tall. (The next rung down puts the shelf at about 23.5", which is a bit too low.) This is easily fixed by either getting a keyboard tray or raising your chair and getting a foot stool. 4. Six feet is TALL! And 11.5 inches is SKINNY! Who knew?!? Seriously, though, I read the specs and measured everything in my room and in my brain I knew what six feet and 11.5 inches mean, but once you put the unit together... six feet is TALL, man! I can't even reach the top shelf. And 11.5 inches barely contains my big ol' Comcast DVR and my computer has to sit sideways on the shelf. I knew all this before buying it, I just didn't picture it as well as I should/could have. It worked out perfectly for me in the end but sometimes I'm still a little surprised how tall it is. All negatives aside, I truly love this shelving system. It's strong, sturdy and steady. I have four uprights with three "columns" of shelves and I didn't even bother using the anti-tip brackets. I even use the uprights to help pull my chair in without worrying the shelves will tip over. Also, I'm a female in my mid-40s, kind of a couch potato and definitely out of shape and I had no problem putting these together by myself. They're heavy but not unmanageable. November 18, 2012

Answer:
Historically, our Connections Shelving has gone on sale in late August during our Annual Shelving Sale. This year's Annual Shelving Sale begins August 26, 2013. We will know at that time if our Connections line of shelving will be on sale as it has been in past years.

Answer:
You can certainly use three uprights to connect two sets of shelves. You would have to stagger the shelves to make the design work due to the shelves not sharing one rung on the upright.
