InterMetro® Baker's Rack
Rack it up
The bakers rack with wine rack looks great and is a nice sturdy work surface. The shelves are generous and easily hold heavy pots. The top shelf is a nice spot for colorful coffee mugs or tins.

Tiny kitchen savior
We've had our baker's rack about four months now, and even after loading it up with all of our stuff and using it every day, it's still in great shape and so practical. Our NYC kitchen has no counter space, so we use the butcher block top for all of our chopping and mixing in addition to using it for storage. It also allowed us to hang most of our pots and pans without having to install a pot rack into the wall, which is great since we're renting and aren't particularly handy.
The only flaw in the design when you use the butcher block for chopping, and especially for slicing bread, is that it's difficult to clear off without getting crumbs in the crevice between the edge of the butcher block and the metal shelf that holds it in place. Usually countertops hang over a bit, but this is the opposite--the butcher-block is recessed a bit, so it's extremely difficult to clean off crumbs.

A kitchen workhorse
My husband and I are culinary professionals who work in a restaurant and so are quite familiar with the Metro Shelves line. We maximize our use of this piece with hooks everywhere and an extra wine rack.
This rack is a serious workhorse if you want it to be. Currently it holds our wine bottles, 15+ pots and pans (including a our all clad stock pot and roasting rack, and a le creuset dutch oven), our pasta machine, vacuum sealer, chinois, food mill, kitchenaid mixer, and vitamix blender. And more. We live in a tiny San Francisco studio apartment but have the space for a serious kitchen arsenal thanks to this rack!
We use up the entire rack for storage in a manner that makes it difficult for us to use it as a work surface, but that is ideal for us. We use the wooden block to hold some of our ceramic serve ware since we mostly use our large butcher block table as a work surface. But the work space is quite ample and comfortable to work on. I personally would be slightly concerned about food spillage onto the rack and items underneath.

Love this Baker's Rack!
This was a great purchase for us. I loved how we could design the whole thing for our particular space and needs, which I didn't realize we could do until we got to the store...the website description didn't explain this. We could choose the shelf sizes and configurations, how tall the supporting posts needed to be, and what additional add-ons we wanted or didn't want. We ended up with a perfect size and configuration for our Keurig, coffee mug collection, and larger appliances on lower shelves. The price was even less than most other stores' in-the-box baker's racks that are not customized. We did add the clear shelf liners to the lower shelves...highly recommend doing that. Guests have commented and asked where we got this wonderful baker's rack. "The Container Store!" Oh, and it was a cinch to put together for us retired folks, ages 68 and 70. The new store in Tampa gave us great customer service, by the way!
