Amazingly easy We have a tight space in our pantry between the door and the shelves and we're looking for a rack system. We saw the system at the store and bought it. It was amazingly easy to install and because it only uses one wall slot rod I didn't even need to level it. The adjustable racks are so convenient. March 22, 2014
Elfa Door System Saved the Closet My husband and I had been searching for a way to utilize more of the space in our linen closet but didn't have the budget to do a complete closet makeover. (Closets are scare in most Manhattan apartments.) Since the closet already had deep shelves we decided to use the back of the door to store items we use the most often. (Soap, saline, shampoo, toothbrushes, etc) We gained space on the shelves and were able to store all of our sheets and towels on the shelves. Wow, imagine that! A linen closet that actually stores all our linens. I installed the system by myself w/o my hubby's help. For other Manhattan-ites our doors were slightly thicker than the widest door hanging option. However b/c our doors are heavy, solid wood I simply installed the system by driving the long wood screws directly into the door. It worked great! I'm very happy with the system. It easily holds bottles like 16 oz sizes of shampoo and saline. Because of the shapes and heights of the various basket option we are able to store things so we can access them quickly. It's easier to find things so we don't waste time digging around for smaller items that can get shuffled to the back of the deep shelves. Previously my husband had assumed "lost items" were actually swallowed by the worm hole/vortex in the back of the closet. March 2, 2014
elfa media system I have a lot of CDs and I needed a solution to get them off the floor and out of CD towers. I ended up buying the elfa media rack that can be hung over a door or mounted on the wall. I chose to mount it on the wall. It's awesome! I was able to house all my CDs on the system and still have room for more! I started with 6 media racks and ended up buying 3 more to hold all my CDs! What a great solution! I love it! June 2, 2013
Great Pantry Organizer The central vertical steel bar is easy to install and the custom sizing and number of shelves is a great way to organize a pantry. May 5, 2013

I use this on a door in my bathroom. My bathroom is small and has little storage, so I put it on the back of the door leading in to my closet. I put all my makeup and hair accessories ... but rather than using a million baskets for stuff, I'd like solid bottom shelves. As it is, my curling iron and straightener fall through the shelves. I'd either like baskets long and narrow enough to fit on these shelves, or solid bottom shelves. Please advise!

Staff Answer
We recommend our elfa Door and Wall Rack Solution. It varies slightly because it has ventilated baskets instead of openings. Please see our Product Recommendations for additional details. You can also design your own door and wall rack solution by clicking on our elfa button at the top of our website.
