Smart Locks Keep Boxes Bulk Food Storage 4 5 29 29
just what I needed yay! I was looking for a well-sealed container of a specific size to hold a bulk of dog treats (I have experienced bugs getting into sealed boxes of them, so keeping them in the original box is not happening anymore). This is just the size I needed to fit almost an entire huge box of large milkbones. It seals tight and fits in the space where I want to keep it. The only improvement for my purposes would be to have the lid on a hinge with one latch or have another opening in the lid that would allow me to only open one latch to get the thing open. As it is now, I have to unlatch 2 or 3 of the latches to get inside. Not a big deal though. March 18, 2014
It's volume is the best part about it I purchased this container to hold 10lbs. of wheat flour since I buy and use a lot of it. This is the only container I could find that could hold that much. I would have preferred the length and height to have been reversed since it takes up too large a footprint in my pantry, somewhat defeating the purpose of it's storage convenience. I'm also not fond of the lid since it has to come off completely in order to get to the flour inside; it's a large lid and a little cumbersome when separated. However, it really does hold 10lbs. of flour securely, if not conveniently. May 26, 2014
Lids = poor quality Purchased two of these and received them last week. One of the locking clamps has already broken off. I liked the previous Keep Boxes for Bulk Food Storage. Their clamps didn't break off. Can you bring those back? These are not worth it. Pretty useless once the clamps break off. I'd upload a photo, but I'm at work right now. September 24, 2012
Bring back the old ones! I purchased the previous version of these containers and loved them! I use them in my pantry to keep bugs out. Then they redesigned them and I went to the store to get more. I am so disappointed! They used to have 2 clips and now they have 4. My kids had no patience for 2 clips, they really won't have patience for 4. (sounds dumb, but the kids are in and out of these boxes several times a day). In the store, I tried out at least four of these boxes. NOT ONE TIME could I get all 4 clips to snap back into place. I tried and tried but some never snapped tight. So they're no longer airtight if you can't close them! I'm bummed, and Container Store (the mother of storage stores) has nothing else airtight in a large size. Please bring back the old ones!! September 27, 2012

Unfortunately, the 16 liter box will be too small. We would recommend the 22 lb. Pet Food Container (item:10054366) as a better size to hold 20 pounds of rice. For future reference, one pound of rice can be stored in a 17oz. container.

How Many Pounds Does the 16 Liter Box Hold?

Can the 16 liter box hold five pounds of cat food? I've looked at the pet food storage containers and the lids just don't seem to fit very tightly. I need something that can store cat food and keep tiny insects such as pantry moths out. These containers seem to have a much tighter seal and look like they would keep even the tiniest of insects out.

The smallest Smart Box will hold over 20 cups. If you are looking for a smaller solution, you may want to look into our 3.5 qt Click Clack Cube. It can hold about 14.5 cups.

I'm looking for a container that can hold two 5 lb bags of flour at once, is air tight, and still has a wide enough opening to scoop/level my measuring cup. While my current container is airtight it only has a 5" opening so when I level my measuring cup flour spills down the sides. What would be the best size for this?

The 6 ltr should work for your 10 lbs of flour. For additional room, you may want to go a size up.

Unfortunately, the 12.5L will not fit a 25 pound bag of flour. The closest option we would have for that amount is our 22 pound Pet Food Container listed below, which is also food safe.
