Rated 5 out of 5 by PERFECT SIZE!!! These are perfect for closets and dressers!! Much healthier than moth balls for sure!!! What I liked the most is that your Cedar Spray is perfect to refresh that cedar scent that keeps moths away!!! July 10, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Cedar for storage I have used cedar for storage for many years and enjoy the fragrance, along with it's insect and pest repelling properties. When storing fine linens, or clothing, I would wrap the cedar lightly in tissue paper, or muslin before putting it in the box. This would keep whatever oils might be on the cedar wood from damaging fine garments or linens, while still allowing it to fragrance and do it's thing against pests. This has worked well with garments packed for long term storage. August 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by They are perfect for my husband's shoe boxes. They keep the odors to a minimum. May 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Using in my sweater storage I am using these in the chests I got from The Container Store to store my sweaters. They smell very good! I picked up a tip sheet from The Container Store and saw where you can sand the cedar if the scent becomes dull to make them smell again - great idea! April 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for coat pockets! Unlike moth balls and even cedar blocks, these take up little room and are perfect to leave in pockets year round to make your closet smell fresh. April 17, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Cedar Moth Balls LOVE!!!! I need more of them!!! They were easy to use and very over and over. April 27, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Would have worked if... ...they didn't roll around. I initially purchased these to put in garment hang bags, but it really didn't work. I still have them though. I know one day I'll find use for them. As another reviewer said, they would be great in a sachet bag. That way, all you have to do is throw them and will be easy to take back out. March 24, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by convenient - comes in lavender too So the problem with cedar is where to put it, those hanging cedar blocks take up too much space in your closet and what about sweaters and scarves in drawers? these are ideal, you can throw them pretty much everywhere. When the cedar smell starts to wear off, just sand them a little (the directions say to do this also). There is a traditional cedar and lavendar variety in the store, I like the lavender but they both smell like cedar to me. March 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Handy Purchase! I love that I can put the cedar balls in closets, on top of cabinets and other hiding places! March 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by nice cedar These are great size and the smell is great!! After a year or so, I just rough them up with a little sandpaper and the smell returns. I guess they do a good job because I never see any moths or bugs in my closets. Put them in everything you store in plastic. I even put some inside my shoes. Store extras in the linen closet. Rated 5 out of 5 by A++++ I love these! Cedar smells nice and helps you storage or closets stay pest free. The small balls are great for dropping in your clothing drawers. March 5, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent I bought these cedar balls for the first time and I really liked them. They are fairly small so they can fit in small gaps when you put clothes away for storage. They smell great not like those horrible, toxic moth balls. March 3, 2010

does cedar react with plastic?

Want to use these cedar balls in your CLEAR SWEATER DRAWER, which has an advisory AGAINST using certain anti-moth products because they react with the plastic. Does cedar react with this kind of plastic? Any issues (staining or otherwise) if I place cedar balls directly in contact with sweaters?

Answer:
If you are worried about staining, why not wrap a few cedar balls together in tissue paper before putting them in with the sweaters? If you wrap them lightly, it will take care of any worries you might have about staining, or reaction to plastic. I've done this over the years, and it works just fine. You might wrap a few balls together for each drawer, or whatever you think will work for you.

"It was a big blob of black clothing!" That's how our Regional Store Director, Robin, described her NYC bedroom closet. "Whenever I bought something new, I would just hang it on the door until I got around to finding a place for it."
