Reviews

Rated 4.2 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 2 out of 5 by Okay for cheaper build quility Build quality is not that great. Plywood is flimsy. Other higher end models are truly strong enough to feel secure and to sit on. This model is weaker and I would not let someone sit on it. Not very secure... June 22, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent footlocker! I move frequently for work. This footlocker is extremely handy: it can be packed for a move and when you get there, it can serve as a coffee table. Looks great in my casual living room and would work nicely in a dorm room. I had one very similar to it in college. The tray is handy for small items. Very pleased to have had a chance to purchase this "made in the USA" product. I have had mine for several years now and it's a treasure. Has made two cross-country trips/moves and still looks brand new. Highly recommended. May 20, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by What I expected based on description Purchased this for my son to store his extensive amount of camping and scouting equipment. Plenty of space and the top tray is perfect for the smaller items. Not sure how sturdy the top tray is going to be in the long run. Always prefer to buy made in the USA! March 8, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Expectations Overall, not a bad purchase.. a bit expensive for its size- nothing like the storage trunks that mom/grandma had when I was a kid... great quality and its humbling to know its made in the U.S.A.! (Virginia) January 20, 2013

Answer:
Owing to the lack of structural reinforcement in this trunk, I do not recommend standing on it unless: you are a toddler or the trunk is extremely densely pack with materials that will provide reinforcement and support your weight. The trunk is not built to withstand the force of an adult stepping onto its top and standing on its unreinforced center.

Answer:
Yes. There are identical handles on each end of the trunk. (You should be able to see one handle in the picture provided.) The handles are sturdy and seem to be made to be functional rather than merely decorative. The handle is appropriate for pulling the trunk on its wheels. Note: depending on your height, strength, and the weight of the trunk, it may not be particularly comfortable to pull the trunk for long distances.

Lid hinge

Is this a soft close or does the lid just fall if half open? Thinking of using this for toy storage but don't want the risk of little fingers getting pinched.
