$14.99/ea.

If you prefer to keep a low profile, you'll appreciate the subtle solution offered by TrashRac. This inconspicuous trash basket can be mounted to the inside of a cabinet or door or even a wall under a sink. A lid keeps contents out of sight and a removable tray catches drips and stores extra bags. Choose to line yours with a continuous, self-replacing roll of TrashRac bags or reuse plastic grocery bags - special hooks on either side were added just for that purpose. It's also a great way to collect recyclables.

  • Includes mounting hardware
  • Bottom tray supports weight of bag contents

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 50 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love it! I love that I can hide an ugly trashcan, keep less things cluttered on the floor, and away from the puppy's reach! It's also convenient that if i don't happen to have the actual trash bags, I can just slip a used grocery bag on there and it fits perfectly! March 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect solution for a small space I just moved into a Manhattan apartment and didn't have a good option for a trash can in my small new kitchen: the pull-out cans didn't fit and there just wasn't room anywhere on the floor. And then I found this, and it's really just perfect. One recommendation though is to get the bags that are designed for it; it'll work with plastic grocery bags but theirs are just a bit bigger and a better fit for the frame. December 29, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by great purchase was easy to install and just the right size. could not find in any retail stores. July 21, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Should be a stock item Nothing negative about this item. It certainly performs well. My only concern is that this is an item that isn't stocked on the shelves? The only size that's stocked at the stores are 3 gal. Why? Please stock the 5 gal for those who generate a little more garbage. July 20, 2015

Answer:
The lid makes things tidier and to some degree limits odors (onion peelings are a favorite thing for me to put in the trashrac) however it is not integral to the use and you don't have to put it on if you don't want it.

Answer:
No, just a frame that the bag hooks around and then a plastic lid on the top and a sort of a tray to support the bottom when the bag is full (and to hold spare rolls of bags).

No, it's just a framework for a bag, but that's actually good when it comes time to get a very full bag out.

No, you don't need a trash can. This system holds the bag at the bottom very securely, so no can is required.

I have shaker style kitchen cabinets, that means the center panel is very thin with a 2 1/4" inch frame all around on 4 sides. Is it attached
from two screws on top or what? Whatever I buy has to fit into the frame part of the door.

Answer:
The screws are a few inches in from the sides in the top half of the frame. In mine we had to use a bit of a shim behind one screw hole as one lined up with the shaker frame and the other one fell in the middle section. It's an easy solution though, you could probably even use a piece of folded-over cardboard from the box - it just needs a support to keep the frame from hanging unevenly.

I would really prefer not to damage my cabinet. Would it be possible to mount this using a stick putty or those sticky hooks? Or even some other method that does not involve putting holes in my cabinet?

Thank you!

Answer:
The TrashRac will need to be installed into the cabinet for proper support. We do not recommend mounting it with putty or Command Hooks as they may not be able to support the weight of this item when filled.

We do have an in-cabinet option that hooks over the cabinet door. Please review our Product Recommendations for more details.

Answer:
I don't think so, as there's very little of the frame that touched the door that you could use putty on. The sticky hooks MIGHT work, but it would probably be unstable - as it is if you put the bottom of the frame on the whole thing tends to swing a bit unless the trash bag is quite full.

And as long as you measure correctly you'll only need a couple of small holes on the inside of your cabinet that should be quite easy to patch later if you ever decide to take it out.

Answer:
I wouldn't recommend it unless you can find an adhesive that's rated at about 7-10 lbs before it fails. It would be much easier to mount this way but screws are certainly stronger.
