Plastic Grid Basket
This is my second purchase of these clear baskets from The Container Store (I had some colored ones already from ages ago as you'll see in the photos) seeing as how they are so vital to my soap making business. I do use a few for paper and my kid uses a few for toys but the primary purpose for me is for my soap curing rack.
They hold quite a bit of soap and allow for the bars to be protected while on the rack and for airflow from all 6 sides. Being plastic, they are non-reactive to the higher alkalinity of the uncured soap. When not in use, extra baskets nest and store nicely but are also easy to separate.
When I run out of rack space, they can be stacked on top of each other with heavy cardboard separators to distribute the weight evenly along the entire basket. Each basket usually holds about 7lbs of soap and even stacked 3-4 high, the mesh does not buckle. I am sure I could stack 5-6 high but here in earthquake country, it is just inadvisable!
I also prefer these clear baskets to the colored ones I had already and am pleased that they are usually always in stock.

We purchased these baskets to divide some food items in our freezer. They work very well for this purpose. Both sizes are great for storing and organizing. I plan to purchase more of them as needed. The price was also within reason.

Just like the item description states, this product can be used in many ways. I used one in a hall closet to store toilet paper and another to store candles of different sizes. They have an attractive and simple design and are so affordable! My only concern is that they are not really sturdy. For instance the one I used to store candles, would require me to use both hands to carry the basket. They are ideal for lightweight items.
