You'll love how quick and easy it is to organize wires and cables with our Cable Zipper. Simply "lock" cables into the Zip Clip then "zip" them into the Cable Zipper with almost no effort! It's the perfect system to contain cords at your desk or entertainment center. Pairs of labels (one for each end of the wire) make disconnecting and reconnecting components quick and foolproof. The kit includes an 8' Zipper Cable, Zip Clip, two self-adhesive wall-mounts (to adhere the Cable to the wall or under a desk, if desired) and 12 pairs of labels.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Love this product! I have 3 very curious cats who love to play with electrical cords. I used two of these in the bedroom to keep the cats from chewing on the cords under the bed. Works perfectly and it's very easy to install. May 4, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Best for computer wires/cables I've had this cable zipper for over a year or two and finally decided to zip up the octopus mess by my bedside. The reviews, that tell you the written instructions are bad, are spot on. There's no way to make heads or tails of them, unless you manage to understand them, after you've zipped up your cables...but what's the point? The video on this site is next to useless too, as it goes too fast, not showing detail and oversimplifying the process and the overall result. If all of the cables begin and end in the same places or are close to each other, you may get a nice unified look. This is best for that situation. I decided to only put three cords through the zipper, as one of the cords I didn't put in the zipper, had a transformer in the middle of it---so, it would not be useful in that situation. Besides, that cord is for a CPAP machine, which I take on the road, so I'd be removing the cord from the zipper anyway and it'd be a pain... IMPORTANT: Go to You Tube and search for Cable Zipper. You'll find the same useless video as the one here, but there is another video from a different vendor, which much better shows how to zip the cords into the zipper. It still took me a few tries before I got it to work, but the video points out how to use the clip to zip up the cords. The pointy end of the plastic clip (looks like a nose) goes into one end of the zipper. Along the zipper, you will see the opening along its entire length, where it overlaps itself, so the cords stay in. After two or three tries, I was able to wrap the cords into the zipper. As the video states, GO SLOW. Even doing that wasn't enough at first, until I put the "nose" part of the clip into my palm and slowly pulled the zipper down with my other hand. You need to keep a firm grip on the nose and zipper, so it doesn't pull out of the zipper, as you're sliding the nose down through it. This is NOT a perfect solution at all, but it will keep the cords from tangling and I can lift up the zipper, moving three cords together, to access the area for vacuuming or whatever. Velcro straps, zip ties or other types of bendable wire or plastic would so the same thing and be less expensive. But, this has a uniform look and if you need to move one or all the cords from the zipper, you can slowly do so, without having to cut zip ties or undo several Velcro straps or other types of ties. This is why I'm giving this 3 stars. And...in some situations, like I mentioned above, this could be a 5 star review...it just depends on how you use this. August 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally, a cable disguise that really works It was so easy my husband couldn't figure out how to use it until he saw the video. It then took him 3 seconds. I must add, the written directions are poor. July 10, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Looking sharper ! So, we recently reorganized the apartment, and the desk is now in the hallway. The same hallway that every guest sees. The same hallway where every guest sees the back of the desk. January 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Works & Looks Great I purchased for the office with a glass desk and we have alot of cords, tucks them neatly and easy to clean around. November 1, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worthless Cable zipper is too narrow to hold more than 2-3 large cables. Also , too small to simply slide a plug through. The plastic is very stiff and it is difficult to manipulate the coil for opening. June 2, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Easy to install. Brought a wall stand and this product is great for keeping the cords in order. May 1, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great For Protecting Cords From Pets! Although the Cable Zipper is really meant for grouping cables into one neat package, I have found that it works really well for protecting my electrical cords from damage inflicted by my cat, who loves to chew on cords of all sorts. My previous solution was to wrap the cords in tin foil but the Cable Zipper looks much nicer! April 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent cable enclosure Wonderful way to hide cables, that looks good against any light colored walls (purchased the white variant). April 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by these are great I had an old cable organization system, but when I redid my entertainment center, I needed something new. I thought the zipper tool was really cool; much easier on your hands than stuffing the cables into the tube (old system). It was a little tricky to figure out how to get individual cables to pop out the sides, it was worth it. I would use this system in other locations. April 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Gadget After getting tired of seeing my cables under my TV cabinet, I purchased the cable zipper. The cashier demonstrated how to use it and it was a breeze. Now everything is tidy. I am planning on buying another one for my behind my desk. April 7, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A WIN WIN PRODUCT! I would recommend this product to my family and friends! It is a great way to hide & keep those ugly cords together and out of the way! I think everyone would love them...everyone wants to be organized and know which cords are for what! That's what this products does...and it won't wear out...just a little dust may accumulate over time to clean off every once in awhile on your cords/cable zipper! It is also easy to use for those that might even be challenged with wiring, etc. If I can put it on properly, anyone can! Go far it and see that you'll love it!!! April 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product - messy is gone Messy cables are hidden, I love the tidy look. I do worry about dust bunnies collecting, March 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This is amazing! Love, love, love this!. It makes hiding wires a breeze. March 23, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Can't believe the change I did find it hard to insert all of my cords into the zipper ( pinched my fingers a couple of times). But, now that they are in there...wow! I had a visible bowl of spaghetti behind my tv and now it's completely organized. February 18, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Great idea but this doesn't work at all I wanted a cord cover to keep my kittens from chewing on various cords. I also figured the cords would look neater covered and managed as one element rather than multiple. However this item actually isn't usable. I tried to follow the instructions to get the cords into the cover and then called my husband who also gave it a try before realizing that it wasn't going to work. We returned it and bought something that does the same thing at another store. January 18, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by flimsy material plastic flimsy, needs more flexibility, Don't recommend December 2, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for hiding or organizing cables I was looking for something to organize the cable and electrical wires from a wall-mounted HDTV. This was perfect. The white one I bought blends in with the background wall. Very easy to install and use. Made of sturdy plastic. August 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by HANDIEST GADGET !! This was sooo easy to use it surprised me. I had put off doing it until I had a friend to help, but actually it is a one person job and was SOOOO simple. PLUS it looks great! wish I had done it years ago to cover up these wires!!!! August 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I was looking for I got two of these- one in white and one in black. I used one for all my computer cables and one for all my tv/dvd cables. Keeps my cords organized. July 24, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Product I hate the sight of exposed wires, so I was looking for a product which would hide them and look nice too. Used it on TV, speaker, and computer wires. I got the white, ran it along my white baseboards and it's almost invisible. Much better looking than wires! It is very easy to use once you master the tool which is included. June 28, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Bad design, even worse instructions. I understand the concept and what its meant to do. But the directions in the packaging are useless. Youtube videos for directions as recommended by another reviewer are the way to go. I fiddled with this for a bit, only to realise the clip provided in the packaging is way too large and doesn't allow the tubing to over it as shown in the videos. Will be taking this product back to the store for a demo or will store credit. April 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome! I'm so happy I purchased this. The area behind my TV looks SO much cleaner. The product was easy to trim to the proper lengths. I now want to Cable Zip everything I own. The only small drawback is that I had a hard time figuring out how to use it from the instructions - but I looked up a video online to help, and it went smoothly from there. April 8, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Terrific product! So easy to use. Nifty tool makes corralling cords almost fun! The labels weren't as useful as I had hoped, but the product overall is definitely worth buying again. March 26, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great product Used this to organize our entertainment area, cords are now easy to move for dusting and no longer get tangled. March 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Simple solution to a complex problem This product is the coolest! I makes the horrifying task of organizing cables such a breeze! I was able to hide all of my wireless networking cables in minutes and haven't had to organize that rats nest since! Such an incredible product!! March 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Zip-A-Dee-Doo-Da! Fantastic purchase! The included tool that helps "zip" the cables together is an incredible invention. It is so nice to finally have all my cables contained and order restored. I bought 4 and use them behind my TVs and desktop computers. March 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by good deal this is a good deal if you are tired of all of the cord clutter; simple and clean March 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Clever solution to cable chaos The zip tool worked exactly as promised (look at the picture carefully and follow it exactly). I only needed half my tubing so cut it in half. The result is a very neat looking tube instead of a mass of tangled wires. And I have another piece of tubing to use elsewhere. June 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by neat under my desk Super easy way to conquer that tangle of wires under my desk -- phones, monitors, computers, etc. All pulled together and protected. I've used other products that did the job but were difficult to install or undo. This magical zipper takes care of that. It is so fun I didn't think twice about re-doing it when I added another cord. Is this cable zipper cat proof

We recently adopted a sweet cat that has cord chewing issues. She chewed right through my phone charger while it was plugged in! I just bought a new Apple iMac desktop computer and I'd like to protect my cords. Would this be cat proof or a good way to discourage chewing on the power cords?

In theory this looks like a good idea. But, how is this used when the cables need to take on different directions, so they can end up plugging into their respective machines?

Answer:
The cable zipper is mainly used to gather multiple cables so they are not moving freely, it does not allow for the different cables to take on different directions.
