Rated 5 out of 5 by Uhmazing I was skeptical that this thing would help fold laundry more easily. I bought it based on the great reviews and I have to say, it really is that amazing. I was so impressed after folding the laundry I had to fold I emptied 2 drawers and refolded everything in those, too. I LOVE LOVE how perfectly if folds everything into the same size. I cannot believe how much neater my drawers are and I didn't think they weren't neat before! As another reviewer said, WHY DID I WAIT SO LONG TO GET THIS! March 1, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome I bought this as a shower gift for my daughter-in-law because I love it so much. I now love folding laundry and everything is the same dimension so it's easier to store. My clothes look so organized. Great product! May 27, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Item Purchased I have wanted one of these for a long time & finally ordered one. It is the best ever & everyone should have one. I should have bought mine sooner but now I have mine & I'm so happy with it. It's absolutely awesome. April 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Keeps your clothes organized & neat I found that I preferred the child-size green FlipFold for my women's tops, but this larger blue FlipFold is perfect for towels and skirts. I have very little closet space in my older home, and I wear bohemian-style long flowing skirts, which can be challenging to fit in a drawer. But with the FlipFold, I just lay the skirt out, and keep flipping & folding until I have a nice neat rectangle. I no longer have skirts overflowing out of the drawer, and my towels are all neatly stacked and of a uniform size. I can fit everything much better in the drawer or on the shelf, and the piles are no longer haphazardly leaning against one another. It just makes everything easier to see, access and put away. The video only shows short-sleeve shirts being folded, so it makes me skeptical about its ability to fold long-sleeve items.

Answer:
There is a printed instruction sheet included with the FlipFOLD, which has illustrations for folding long-sleeve shirts, pants, and other items. All you do differently is to fold the sleeves back over the shirt in an X pattern (basically so everything is contained within the dimensions of the FlipFold) before you do your first flip. Works great!

Answer:
There are directions included. The sleeves are folded straight across from left to right. A long sleeve will be folded twice. Don't worry. It works also for longer shirts. Just fold tp the bottom to fit onto the form before doing the "flips."

Answer:
You place the shirt on the Flipfold just as you would a short sleeved shirt. Then you just fold the sleeves in. Then you fold the shirt normally. There were instructions with mine. It really works good with long sleeves.

It comes with illustrated instructions on how to do it for long-sleeved shirts, towels and pants. All you do is fold the sleeves inward and make sure they are within the plastic folder.

Answer:
You may want to purchase the green "child-size" FlipFOLD instead of the blue one. It folds the clothing to a little bit smaller size. Check the product description for exact dimensions, then compare that to your girls' shirts. In my opinion, it's well worth it because you can actually fit more clothing in less space because it's folded so neatly. And, at 11 years old, your girls can use it to fold their own clothing - a big WIN WIN for you ;)

There is a smaller one. If Container Store doesn't carry it, you can probably find it online. I don't have kids, but I use the smaller one for items like my camisoles and my husband's boxers.

It would be nice to have for shirts and pants, but I do a relatively good job of folding without the help of this device. However folding sheets - especially the bottom sheet - is much harder. Does this device work for bed linens - or do they just mean towels?

You would have to fold the majority of it in order for it to fit on the plastic folder but if its thin enough I don't see why it would work but I assume that they mean mostly towels.

Answer:
If you can get the fitted sheet folded neatly in quarters (you know, where all the corners are nested inside each other), and lay it on the FlipFold so that the straight/even sides line up with two edges of the board, you can manually fold in the excess (the two messy sides), using the FF as a template. Then flip and fold, and it should come out in a nice, rectangular package.

Can this fold bath towels?

The towel in the video looked thinner to what we use. Can this be used on larger, thicker bath towels?

Yes, you may have to adjust it just a bit (IE: pressing down a bit more or adjusting it a bit) but it works on my towels.

Answer:
I use it for bath towels, even super-heavy oversized ones (and also for beach towels). I just start by folding them in half before I lay them on the flipfold, making sure one side of the folded towel aligns with the side of the flipfold (same with the top). If there's any overhang on the bottom, I fold that up to make it even. Then I flip the sides. It sounds complicated when you try to describe it to someone else, but it's actually quite simple. I use the same method for other large items, like sheets and tablecloths.

It works fine on thicker bath towels. It makes a thicker package, but it's still a nice neat rectangle, and they are all of a uniform size, which makes them great for stacking.

Answer:
Yes, it works great on XXL sizes. You just center the item and keep alternating which side you flip until all the fabric has been folded into a neat rectangle. A smaller item will just take one flip on either side, but an XXL might take 2 on either side. But your end product will end up nice & neat. If the length is real long, you can fold the item in half along the short dimension first, and then lay it out and flip & fold it. Once you do a few, you'll see what works best for your clothing and how it fits into your particular size of drawer.

Answer:
It will work on sizes greater than XL. You will have some overhang and may need to fold the sleeves first when it is laying on the board. Anything larger than a XXL may not be as neat when folded.

Answer:
The large FlipFOLD will give you a base area relative to the front of the shirt in the picture up to a size L. Wider size shirts would put the edge/fold a bit closer to center than you may be used to. It would be worth a try, especially for t-shirts, tank tops and camisoles.

I use this to fold my jeans, size 22, and I do fold the crotch triangle over the hem of my pants. :-) I fold up the hem to the crotch area first and then fold up a second time at that point. Makes a nice tidy stack of jeans. The crotch area will not be seen and will be creased anyway.

I use this tool to fold my bath towels so all are a uniform size for stacking.
