$9.99/ea. - $10.99/ea.

Our Slimline Fridge Jug holds over a gallon of milk, water, or tea yet requires less than 3" of refrigerator shelf space. Our 2.5 gallon Slimline Fridge Jug holds twice as much in just 5-1/2" of shelf space. Space-savvy, clear, and unbreakable, these jugs feature a truly leak-proof spigot, a grip handle, and a wide-mouth opening for easy filling. We recommend hand washing. To prevent leaks, ensure that the two portions of the spout are assembled properly. The first part screws into the jug itself; the second part is the actual spout. The operation of moving the spout can loosen the two portions of the spout - make sure the two parts are suitably tightened and the spout should not leak.

Rated 5 out of 5 by SO HAPPY WITH THIS JUG!!! I've tried several things to keep my husband's sugar-free iced tea handy in the fridge, and this one is so good that I bought a second one to tuck away for the day when this one gives out and I need a new one. If it ever does, because it's sturdy and well-made. I bought the slimmer of the two, and it still holds two gallons of liquid in a very narrow space in the fridge. I use a funnel to put in the ingredients but the hole in the top is pretty large even if you don't have a funnel. I tighten the lid down, give it a good shake, put it in the fridge, and then unscrew the top most of the way so it can pour properly. To clean I put in hot water, some vinegar, and dish soap, let it soak, and run lots of clean water through the spout. It's just a great design and I love it! June 29, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Slimline Fridge Jug I bought the larger (2.5 gal.) of the Slimline Fridge Jug since I wanted the convenience of having really cold water at the touch of a finger. It is so convenient to be able to hold a glass under the spigot and have a very refreshing drink. So easy to use, best purchase ever! December 3, 2015
Rated 1 out of 5 by It leaks We were hoping it would help but all it does is leak all over our fridge. It leaks from the tip as well as the "sealed" part around the tip. March 1, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Only one I can find, so it will have to do... I've purchased about 6 of these. I buy them 2 at a time because they just don't last. They get brittle and crack over time. Every time. Usually around the bottom corners. But I am unable to find a better option, that is also BPA-free, so I buy 2 at a time, to ensure I have one on hand when it inevitably cracks. August 12, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Second Jug Failing Unfortunately the material is not up to the job. First we had the 2.5 gal jug. Over time, one of the lower corners got brittle, and broke when I put it back in the fridge after a refill. Huge mess... Exchanged it for the smaller version, thinking less water volume = less pressure on the thin plastic walls. Low & behold, the same happened. No rough handling, just in and out of the fridge every other day for refills. I imagine if you use it "on the go" it'll break even faster. They need to reinforce the corners or use another material altogether, otherwise this is useless. Could also use a plug of some sorts on the top, for depressurization. Having to twist the cap off and on to vent each time is tiresome. August 2, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by REALLY GOOD PRODUCT We ordered two Slimline Frig Jugs and they are great. Don't have to lug large milk jugs in and out of the frig . July 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Deal and a great space saver. We bought 2, one for the main fridge and one for the garage fridge. We use the main fridge one until empty then refill it and put it in the garage fridge. At the same time we put the one that was in the garage in the main fridge. That way we always have really cold water. May 27, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Doesn't Function As Designed About the only thing that was good about this jug was it's size. I bought it as a water dispenser in the fridge. We were having a party and I served tea in it. The liquid dribbled out very slowly. There are labels explaining that you need to loosen the lid to have a full stream of liquid. I did this but still did not get a good flow. The other thing it did was "take a deep breath". The flow would stop and the whole container would act as if it took a deep breath. I will tell you that when I returned it the staff at the store was very nice and accommodating. May 23, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by DO NOT BUY! The apocalypse is upon us. I never thought this could happen or ever expected it to, but I have made my first TERRIBLE purchase from the container store. Normally the CS has high standards when curating the items they stock; they failed with this one. This product has an air vacuum issue that causes the water to start off with a decent at-best flow and eventually slows to a trickle before you get to the one cup mark. You then need to tilt the jug back and forth for the bubbles to fill the chamber back up to get the water flow back at its *decent at best* level. May 22, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by I bought the slimmer jug and it fits in the fridge great. Easy access to lemonade whenever we want! April 3, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by good and bad good size, easy carry, but it breaks too easily. we had to replace them every 6 months or so. Looking for the same design but stronger product March 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sweet tea! Love the size of this! Being from Texas we drink a lot of sweet tea, I was making a gallon every day. Now I can make almost 3 at a time what a time saver. The jug takes up just a little more room than my 1 gallon pitcher. February 21, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by disapointing love I continue to buy this jug even though they crack. The first lasted 8 months and developed a small crack in the body of the pitcher above where the spigot is. The second lasted 2 months even though i was much more gentle with it. The downward pressure applied to the jug when you open the spigot seems to stress the plastic too much and it developed a small crack and slow leak. I love how this fits in my fridge, i love having cold water on hand, i love the design. I wish they lasted longer. This is a design flaw. February 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Water jug! I love this water jug, and have been using it for years. It's easy to fill, clean, and it's BPA free! It is extremely space efficient in my already crowded refrigerator. I've never had a problem with leakage, but i will have to say that it isn't 'unbreakable". I did have to replace a jug because of a crack in the corner. This was, though, due to some clumsy and rough handling on my part, and after several years of wear and tear... Also, I do recommend cleaning out the spigot from time to time, and i generally use a cotton swab to get in there. highly recommend! February 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Really like this product I am on about my fifth one of these containers. I use it for tea. I love the way in fits into the frig and how little space it takes up. My only issues are difficulty trying to clean it; and if it's put in the dishwasher, it tends to warp the threads on the top, making it difficult to screw the top on. February 20, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by i like it works well fits perfectly in the fridge im very happy with it December 29, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by The design is handy It's ok...there's only 1 handle on the front so maneuvering it into the fridge was awkward for me. Also, it is quite large to fit under the faucet in my kitchen sink to fill up. otherwise, it's an ok product. December 16, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by unfortunate! I really have a love hate relationship with this! I really love to have this product, it is very convenient but unfortunately I had 3 of them that all broke and started off with slow leaks, I really wish I could say good things about this product but I can't and sadly I want another one hoping it won't break.....but now i'm left waterless and I don't want to buy water bottles but I will have to find some sort of replacement November 13, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by love this jug.... I am a bit embarrassed to be writing this review. I previously wrote one that stated how much I liked this small jug. with two teen boys, we use a lot of milk, and I bought this to be able to keep plenty on hand. twice in two weeks, the milk has spoiled!! the dating was great, so it wasn't that. I might try another one for water or tea, but this one is going back! I am extremely disappointed, as I love the design! November 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super handy Sturdy, well-designed, handy. We use it for filtered water. Has eliminated our need to buy bottled water, and it's always cold, and takes up almost no space in the fridge. October 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Durable and great space saver I use these in my refrigerator for iced tea. I originally purchased one of each size, but the large one is far too big (double the size) for daily use and ended up getting a second smaller one. However, for a party the larger one would be great. October 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Leak. Product is 95% OK. It would be 100% except for small, slow leak in valve. September 12, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by horrible horrible design does not even fit in my refrigerator it is too long and my refrigerator is very large. September 10, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Slimline Frig Jugs Incredibly poor quality. Leaks and drips resulting in two messy cleanups before I trashed them. September 9, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by great quality Love this product. Fits wonderfully in fridge. Only suggestion is to have a relief hole somewhere on the top of jug. September 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Water Dispenser Product works as is described. Very simple idea. May consider buying the smaller version, just to use for Juice or other beverage. July 31, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by good with reservations I have had two of the 2.5 gallon jugs that I have used in our camper and both have cracked one around the spigot and the other around the top opening. I love these jugs as they fit conveniently in the refrigerator of our camper and I haven't found anything else comparable so I may buy another one. So far as I know they were never dropped or abused in any way. Annoying to have the water leak in the refrigerator. July 23, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Love it but... The slimline bottle I bought first was great and two years later started dripping. Sigh. Now I bough the bigger one and it is brand new and I get the occasional drip. No big deal but notable... June 28, 2013
Rated 2 out of 5 by Cracked after two months I purchased two of the Slimline Fridge Jugs in April 2013. I keep water in one, and iced tea in the other. After two months, I was refilling the tea jug and a 2 inch crack opened up on the bottom edge. So far the other one is holding up, but I think I'll just stick to water. I wouldn't want another jug of tea to split while it's in the fridge. Water alone will be easier to clean up. June 21, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very good product I just bought my 2nd and 3rd fridge jugs. I love them. Only issue is trying to clean tea from them. Container Store should sell a custom brush that is flexible and long enough to clean these jugs. May 5, 2013

I'm assuming these are made of plastic. The plastic container I've been using for iced tea over the years has stained so bad that I'm throwing it out.
I could fit my hand down through the lid opening and scrub the container out however the opening on these containers look too small to do that.
Any suggestions?

Answer:
this cleans nicely with a rag inside shaking vigorously with water and some soap.....ALL EXCEPT the handle. That won't clean. After a few months, there is a build up in there of black fuzzy looking slime. No way to reach it. Soaking with bleach may help but is not safe for these plastics so I will not use that.

Answer:
I have used mine for powdered tea mix for over a year and it shows no sign of staining yet. A very strong brewed Tea may leave a residue on the inside but I doubt it could stain these Jugs. Use care to cool any hot liquids before transferring them to these Jugs. Hot liquids above 175 F will soften the plastic and cause it to distort out of shape. The Filler lid opening for the 1.25 Gal Jug is only 2" but the 2.5 Gal Jug opening is large enough for my bear paws to fit in. I resist the urge to use "hard mechanical" cleaning of the inside. Some dish washing liquid and warm water, and a soft wash rag placed inside the Jug, with vigorous shaking (with the lid on) do the trick nicely without scratching the plastic inside.

Answer:
Yes, you do have to unscrew the filler lid a few turns for the liquid to flow faster than waiting for the air to bubble in the spigot. The filler lid has no vent and also has a thin foam "gasket" that can still close off the opening if the filler lid is unscrewed enough. A small hole could be drilled into the filler lid but you would have to hold a finger over it for transporting or mixing. These are very durable Jugs but they do require hand washing. Temperatures above 175 F will cause the plastic to soften and distort. They work great for powdered mix drinks and can dispense while still in the fridge. Very stain resistant and the spigots are good quality and do not leak if cleaned regularly. The 1.25 Gal Jug measures (including spigot) 16.25" x 9.75" x 3" and 2.5 Gal Jug is the same and nearly twice as wide.

Answer:
You do not have to unscrew the Slimline lid in order for water to flow from the spout. You do not need to remove the item from the fridge either. The spout just needs to clear the shelf it is resting on in order to pour successfully.

Answer:
I can attest that these containers are not chemical resistant. As a chemist, I should have thought to check which plastic it was made of before deciding to use it to store bleach. I didn't and ended up with nearly a gallon of bleach spilling out all over the place. Thought I had ruined my drier and brand new washer (had it on a shelf over the washer and drier).

The spigot wasn't the problem, the container itself didn't hold up to the corrosive nature of bleach.

I just bought the Slimline Fridge Jug today and the cashier advised me on how to screw in the spout and keep it at the "3 o'clock" position until the spout piece is screwed on, then turn the spout downward to dispense. She this would avoid water dripping and leaking from the jug.

I cleaned the jug with warm soap and water, then filled it, and put it my refrigerator. My son opened the fridge a few minutes later and water had leaked all over our fridge. I tried to readjust it several times, put it back in the fridge, and the leaking continues. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong. I want this to work. I love how slim it is and how much space it frees up in the fridge!
