Rated 5 out of 5 by refrigerator pitcher Good size to measure daily intake of water. looks great and fits very easily in fridge October 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great pitcher I already own one of these and decided to get another. I have the shorter size which fits in my refrigerator door or on a shelf. The glass is quite thick and durable. The lid can be locked in place if you desire. And the mouth of the jar is wide enough for my hand to get into the jar for cleaning if I hand wash. Although it usually goes in the dishwasher (I put the lid on the top rack). I highly recommend this product. December 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I needed These pitchers make it much easier to manage liquids. The gallon jugs get heavy for some of us, and by dividing the contents and having a handle to grab...such a simple thing but works so much better. I have some pitchers of the same size but without handles and they are harder to use. September 13, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Um, pass.... I've used this product for about 6 months now, and I really want to like it. When I went to purchase it originally, it was on back-order and I had to wait for it to arrive to the store. Last week I was making tea in it, and it cracked and tea began leaking out of the crack. Not good. Prior to that point, I had noticed that the top doesn't offer a great, solid seal, but it was good enough that that wasn't a big deal. Now, it's completely unusable, of course. Big waste of money and time. I would not recommend; I have other products that are far superior, better constructed, and cheaper. July 9, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by All good except weight It is a perfect size to fit in the fridge and I can get my whole hand inside to clean easily and thoroughly. But, it's already very heavy and I have to fill it up on top of that. The locking lid is a clever idea, clean and convenient. It would've been perfect if it was lighter! January 1, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Do not purchase I bought this because I wanted something cute for hosting and to store homemade juices. I only used it once and the top broke. I saw people returning it but I figured they didn't like it. I am very unhappy with the product and will be returning it tomorrow. I will look for something similar as I really love the shape and style of the product. September 25, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Glass at last This short squaty pitcher is perfect. First is made of glass no chemicals leaching into my drinks. Second it is space saver for one gallon. Third it is easy to clean. At first my husband said no way that holds a gallon of anything its too small. So to prove to him it did I took my old plastic gallon tea pitcher filled it with water and poured into this glass one and it held every last drop!! Love this please do allow a bit more room in the handle, but it is comfortable to pour from. September 12, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good unless you have large hands This pitcher is a nice size to fit into a refrigerator door or on the shelf. It's heavy and seems of good quality. The lid does seal, although there is a trick to tightening the lid and the instructions are pretty tiny. Its chief drawback is how tight the space is between the pitcher itself and the handle--I'm a woman with typical woman hands (I don't have big ol' man hands) and past the first joint it is a tight fit for my fingers to grip the handle. It's not a terribly big deal, but it would be nice if I didn't feel like I was squeezing my hand in there every time I used it--and there is no way my husband can use it, it's simply too tight to squeeze his fingers in. Rated 5 out of 5 by Like Grandma's Fridge ware Love the fact that the pitchers aren't plastic!! They both fit in the compartment on the door perfectly. I use the large one for brewed ice tea and the smaller one for iced coffee. Being able to pop them in the dishwasher is fabulous. May 17, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Short, squat & super useful The short pitcher is definitely short, so it won't be the tall elegant picture of your dreams. But it is incredibly useful and a great size for entertaining. Easy to clean. Easy to store, with the relatively square shape. I may eventually buy more, or try the smaller taller pitcher. April 7, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good design These pitchers are just the right size and weight for me. February 14, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by PERFECT!!! These are very sturdy, simple pitchers. I love that the lids seal very tightly so odors/leaks are not an issue. I happen to think that the handles are great, too and I don't have "tiny" hands. The lids are simple to use to insure a tight seal. The pitchers fit in the door of my fridge. Milk tastes oh-so-good from a glass pitcher!! I've washed everything in the dishwasher without a problem. Ordered four of these and couldn't be happier. (2 for milk, 1 for tea, 1 for orange juice) LOVE LOVE LOVE these. And, I might add, customer service is top notch-when original arrived broken, I sent an email and was totally surprised that I got a response within an hour. LOVE this store, too!! December 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I was looking for This pitcher is just what I was looking for. The lid seals so you can shake what you have in the pitcher without spilling the contents. November 29, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Glass Refrigerator Pitcher We use the large pitcher for orange juice. The size is perfect for mixing frozen orange juice. It even holds 4 cans of water plus one can of concentrate; our preferred dilution rate. Comes with a tightly sealing lid which prevents the content from taking on refrigerator odors. However, the lid has to be taken off to pour. Glass is non leaching and you are able to clearly see the content. The spout drips a little when pouring. Handle seems a little close to the body for large hands. August 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for serving tepache. I use this to serve the tepache. Works great, just add ice and pour. August 14, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good glass pitcher! I've read even BPA free plastics may be harmful, so I've switched to glass for my food storage. This container does break if boiling water is poured in, but other than that it's very durable!! Wide mouth makes it easy to clean & it's dishwasher safe. Just be sure to keep all 4 of the plastic lid parts accounted for. Lose one and the lid will not work. Locks refrigerator odors out of pitcher. Good size to fit in fridge. Looks nice on the dinner table too! July 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect for iced tea!!! Love the pitcher. Handle is a little too close to the body of the pitcher but not a show stopper. The lid hermetically seals and is very easy to use, even with arthritic hands! Fits well in fridge and keeps tea tasting just-brewed fresh for days! Love it!!! June 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Just OK We thought this was just the ticket for our new refrigerator with less space between shelves. However, the lid components kept coming apart and falling into the juice. Also, the juice dripped down the side from the spout. June 16, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Was Not Pleased with This Purchase I purchased the shorter pitcher to cool brew ice tea. It's strong and sturdy, however, it is hard to hold when pouring (handle too close to body) and liquids usually drip down side of pitcher after pouring. I find it poorly designed. May 15, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect! After juicing fruits and vegetables, I love using these pitchers for storing due to the airtight lids. Helps me keep the juice a bit longer in the fridge. May 11, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Loved it so much, I got 2 I've owned a 34oz one for years for mixing lemonade with iced tea, infusing water with fruit, etc. I brew tea in it with 212 degrees F water straight from my electric kettle. No issues with it at all, as the pitcher has always been at room temperature first. Then I let it cool down for over an hour until no longer warm to the touch, and I stick it in the fridge. Got another one and have been doing the same with it. No cracks, no leaks, etc., even though the company says not to put boiling liquids in the pitchers, with their max somewhere around 148F. May 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Handy Glass Pitcher Bought two of these as replacements for some thinner walled glass pitchers I purchased at a major discount retailer. These work great! The low profile of this pitcher and size work well for refrigerator door storage. The tight fitting lid keeps the contents fresh! I have some other Frigoverre storage containers that I use for food storage and they are superb as well. A great price is always a bonus! May 4, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect! These are the perfect pitchers for daily use or a dinner party! They go from the fridge to the table effortlessly!! May 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by NO SPILLS!! I had looked at and bought several plastic pitchers for the frig to store Kool-Aid and mixed juice drinks, but had repeated trouble with them dripping and/or lids coming off while pouring. Finally, a pitcher (purchased both sizes) that does not drip when pouring, and because you take the lid off to open and pour, you know it is not going to fall in your glass! And the air tight lids are a plus! No more absorbing odors/flavors from other stuff in frig. Also, because the pitchers are glass, they don't discolor or absorb odors from what was stored in them previously. April 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great inexpensive pitchers I've had both the small and large pitchers for a couple years and I love them! The seals have held up great to multiple dishwasher cycles and still expand for a tight seal. I use them to keep small portions of the bulk juices I buy in our main fridge, and also for homemade almond milk. I found that they keep mimosas nice and fizzy for many hours if closed tightly between pours too! April 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Pitcher This pitcher is perfect for storing fresh juices because of the airtight lid. It's unique squared off shape means it fits more easily in the fridge. Could use one or two more! April 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect Pitcher This is the perfect pitcher! Clear, durable, dishwasher safe glass. Secure fitting lid, Made to fit well in your frig and just the right size for juice/lemonade/iced tea - I've got 2 in my frig right now. March 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by No More Plastic!! I can't say how much we love these pitchers! We keep milk, juice, and tea in them. Our drinks stay so fresh tasting due to the airlock seal, never taking on odors of other foods in the refrigerator. They are durable and so easy to clean. The seal is very simple. Hold the outer ring with one hand, twist the top with the other. We have never had dripping, leaking, or any issue with this. I did price check these at several stores online. Hands down, Container Store was best. March 26, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Refrigerator size pitcher I like the fact you can see the content and it fits compactly in the fridge, especially with a tight fitting lid... March 18, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good, Wish Was Larger Size This glass refrigerator pitcher is good. It's sturdy and hefty with a nice cover. My only gripe is that I wish it were bigger. While they do sell an accompanying slender pitcher(sold separately), this pitcher would get 5 stars had it been in a larger size. We are a family of two and were are constantly making we iced tea and it similar drinks. Otherwise it's good for the price and seemingly durability. March 17, 2014

Answer:
Yes, you must remove the lid to pour because the lid has a hermetic seal. But there is a nice "spout" or "pitcher lip" which makes pouring easy once the lid has been removed..

Answer:
It isn't tempered glass. I've used this pitcher to make ice tea (using hot water) with no problem for 2 years. Today, the pitcher shattered as I added the hot water. Use caution!
Otherwise it's a fabulous pitcher -- great size (tall one), easy and simple to use.

I would think so because once I lock the lid, it feels air tight and can't take it off. It gets tighter the more you turn the lid to lock so I just turn it slightly for easy unlocking.
