Rated 3 out of 5Â by LadyJay114 Good Storage Container
I was looking for a container to put my 51b bags of King Arthur Flour. It is a good storage container. However this container is not airtight. It does snap close, but I wasn't very confident that it would stay closed, particularly after many months of use. Also, the price of this item ($3.99) is a bit of an indication that its not as good as some of the others, especially after a lot of use.

The flour stay fresh containers are a good buy for the money and the sacks fit in them well. I prefer the snap on lids on the tellifresh containers over these though. The lids do not secure well on these. Overall I am still satisfied with the containers I bought.

I wanted a no frills, easy to use container to put inside my cabinet to store my flour and still be able to keep it inside its bag. I needed something that would keep the flour dry and deter bugs. It is the ideal size to store a full size bag of flour. I had tried plastic zip bags, but it's difficult to find the right size.
I've only had it for a few weeks. but so far I have no complaints. Hopefully it will solve the problem of bugs.

This container is not made well at all. It is not air tight and the lid does not "snap" shut... it simply stays in place. If you hit it with another item in the cabinet, it will pop open.
I would return it but it is only $3.99. It would cost me more in postage to mail it back than I paid for it.

I'm one of those individuals that get suckered in by the gimmicky things. I thought this box would be great, it was the exact size I needed for a bag of flour.... NOPE!
We got flour from our local WinCo, the box would not close with the bag in it. So I turned the bag upside down and poured about 85% of the contents in before I reached the brim of the box. Well now I need two containers, because the remaining 15% couldn't fit in. This defeated the point of buying this specific container.
Also, any time you tap it on accident the lid pops right on open. I grazed it the other day putting the sugar box (same brand) away and the box popped right on open. The seal isn't worth a darn.
I would recommend getting one of those huge glass jars, or even a BPA free plastic container with a good lid.

I don't have canisters sitting on the counter tops so this is perfect for the pantry. I do pour my flour into the container as I find it harder to scoop out of the bag. The hinge does last as I bought one of these to use in our RV when we we're fulltime RVers for 8 years and it is still going strong. I was happy to find the same thing for our condo pantry.

I am currently using seven of these but need to buy 3 more, as I transition my flour collection to mostly gluten-free. as per my son's doctor.
the great thing about these is their storage-smart rectangular shape with a flat top that allows for stacking in the pantry. I also like that you can read the bag/box thru the walls so you're not dealing with labels or opening mystery containers.
I put the bags into the container, and then slip a number of bay leaves into the container to deter the insects that like to live in our flour/grains. I get my bay leaves in larger quantity by finding them in bags hanging in the ethnic foods area of my grocery...I toss the leftover leaves in cabinets where I store cereal, rices, and pastas.
the container is airtight enough to keep the flours fresh. it's lightweight so it doesn't kill my arthritic hands, and narrow enough so l don't miss handles that much. it's about storage, and these don't waste any space or materials. works for me.

Bought four of these 5 years ago to put my different flours in. (we only eat home made bread) Thought it would be easy because I could inventory how much I had on hand and keep my pantry free from "four dust" which equals bugs. These did the trick! But I started to want to use them for more than just flour. So happy to come back to the site and see them still there. I am ordering 4 more!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by ReneeinOregon No Way Does a 5 Lb Bag of Flour Fit in This!
Well my title says it all - I use masa and whole wheat flours and thought, how nice and neat to be able to store these two side by side. In face, I had a 4.4 lb bag of flour that wouldn't fit in this box! So now I just use it to store miscellaneous hot cereals.

Just bought this container. It is great for the price. It appears to provide an airtight seal once closed...which is a concern that I have for food storage.

I recently decided it was more cost effective to make my own breads than use the conventional 'boxes' of mixes out there, so I had to buy more than just your typical bread flour.
so I needed something to keep the bags in while in the fridge. These containers do the job!! the 5 lb bags fit right in, I can still read which flour it is, and with these containers I have less change of any of the flour 'spilling' in my fridge in the event the bag falls over or gets a tear in it, which it can't now because every pouch is contained in its own container. will definitely be buying more as I purchase more flours.

I got this because I'm starting to get into baking and wanted a good flour container. Got an OXO container for my all-purpose flour but didn't want to splurge for another OXO for my bread flour. Tried this instead. Does a great job of keeping bag contained. However, kind of wish I had the OXO as I get into the bottom of the flour bag and just want to refill it. But now, will probably have to wait until I completely finish the bag to swap out for new. Also, like the rest of the containers in this family, the closure is rather flimsy. If I grab the container from the top (which I do often because I keep it on the bottom shelf), it can pop open. Also would not have a lot of confidence in this if I dropped it.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Caro17 I use this in my camper!
I use these in my camper for flour, sugar, noodles, rice, packaged seasonings, etc. I love to keep my favorite cooking items handy for the summer. It actually keeps the dampness out and helps me organize things that I can find easily in a small space with ease! I only gave it 4 stars because You do have to be careful with it. It is flexible plastic but for the price it is a good buy and works well!!

Great, simple solution to an annoying problem. Keeps my pantry cleaner and easier to navigate without spilling flour all over the place. I was worried the thin plastic would melt in my dishwasher, but it didn't. Worth the price.

I can put flour or sugar in the container and don't have to mess with plastic bags to keep from spilling contents all over the counter if it tips over. And you don't have to hold the bag while trying to get product out.

I use a few different types of flour, and these are perfect for storing them. Also, I use one for holding pizza dough packets (the kind you just add water to), and it makes my cupboards neater since they aren't falling all over the place. I alternate them right side up and upside down to fit more into the container. Works great! I came back to get another container since I commandeered one for the pizza crust packets!

This is an inexpensive way to contain open flour bags. It is not upper crust design, just an elegant solution to the problem of generating 'flour dust' every time one picks up an open bag

I bought one for flour, one for sugar. Because I can drop the package right in, there is no need to label or figure out what the white stuff is. Also, it keeps the flour from spilling into the cabinet and keeps the bugs out.

I've had 2-3 of these containers for about a year and they've held up really well. They've gone through the dishwasher a few times w no trouble and they have a good seal. Great for keeping flour from getting messy and make it easier to store (because it can be stacked)

I was a bit disappointed. The lid is a bit difficult to close completely, and then opening it again is a challenge. I picked it up by the top one day, not realizing that the lid wasn't completely sealed, and the container tipped open and spilled flour.

I kept my shredded wheat biscuits in this. Moths somehow got inside and it ended up having a lot of larvae, etc. Don't buy if you want an airtight container.
