Rated 5 out of 5 by Glasslock We have had several of the Glasslock Containers for almost two years; have frozen all sorts of things in them. NEVER have any of the lids broken, snapped or cracked! I stack the lids neatly and have absolutely no problem with them "being floppy" . They stay in place when opening and closing my kitchen slide out drawers in my island cabinet. July 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dropped them on tile floor when I got home- not even a scratch on them. Best containers I own. No bpa. Easy to clean, sturdy, no spills... March 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally, glass containers!!!!! Yeah!!! So nice to have a source for glass containers in which to store leftovers or in which to prepare some single serving meals! After knowing that plastic containers are not necessarityl healthly for these items, I was pleased to see them in your inventory! OK, OK, you cannot use the covers to microwave items or put the containers in the oven or on the stovetop, but I am so pleased to find glass containers in which to freeze and store items in the 'fridge! I can SEE what is inside, I can STACK them in freezer or fridge. Along with the Freezer Labels offered by The Container Store, I know when I began storing each glass box. I really love these things. Great for lining up on the counter with the right measurement of ingreadients for any recipe - especially those that need additions quickly. ALSO, liquids seem to travel without any leaks! Just click the cover on all four sides and things seem to stay very contained. Would recommend these highly!! February 19, 2012
Rated 1 out of 5 by Prone to Shattering and Mold Growth Despite claims of being shatter-resistant, these containers shatter fairly easily. They also have a couple of lid issues. The lid often seals onto the container and becomes difficult to remove making it nearly impossible to access the contents without a massive struggle. The seal is also prone to mold growth and though it's removable with A LOT of effort, it's a constant extra step of cleaning. August 16, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by good product Really nice containers, I use them for lunch packing and food leftovers that go in the fridge. Love that they are not plastic and keep food smells nicely hidden March 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Old time space savers rate A1+ Years ago I bought plastic containers for leftovers. Thankfully they have dried out and broke into sharp plastic slivers. ENTER THE GLASSLOCK.... oh, yeah! Now THIS is the way to save leftovers!. Air tight, see thru, easy to clean, slip the cover off and pop it in the microwave way to make lunch or add a "side dish" from leftovers. Some times the old ways of doing things are the best. September 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product I have other sizes of these containers and these round one are the best for fit in tight areas of the fridge, great stuff. July 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great buy I'm getting away from plastic containers and like the size of this container. Great for leftovers. I can also reheat them in the same container. Like the snap lid. July 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Maybe The good part: These containers are glass (preferred over plastic) and easy to keep clean. July 14, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by These are made of heavy glass. Very sturdy with secure lids . They stack well for conserving space in my fridge and pantry. May 15, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice container, but flawed lid design Attractive product, but we found the latching flaps on the sides of the lids were far too easy to break. We bough several of the Glasslock storage containers and already broke two lids within less than a month of usage. Plastic wrap of aluminum foil will keep these containers sealed from now on, but I won't buy this particular product again. April 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great and durable! I got a few of these to try to help organize my freezer - mainly freezing herbs from my garden and such and not having them in just pastic bags. So far they have held up great and are easy to open. Very pleased. April 25, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Albeit expensive- it is a great container and super easy to wash. April 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product I had been searching for a container that would hold a single helping of the stew I make for my husband. The 3.1 cup Glasslock Round is perfect. I am extremely happy with my purchase and look forward to buying more in the future. March 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Convenient glass Just a simple way to store in a safe environment. They have a nice tight seal with the comfort of using glass. I use the smaller one to store hash-brown patties in the freezer, and it's great. March 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Super useful Love these. Freezer to microwave, recognize the left overs in freezer, easy grab lock tab to open even when frozen. Far superior to plastic containers. March 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good, sturdy, stackable I'm ditching plastic and trying to find glass replacements for the sizes I use most often. These are great containers and stack or nest inside of each other. What I mean is that if you were to get multiple items of the same size, you can stack them without lids on for more efficient storage. If you have a tiny kitchen, this is a big win. My only wish is that they had one larger size; I have the small and medium and will eventually purchase the largest size they carry, but an even larger version would come in handy. My only negative is that sometimes the snaps are hard to close. March 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Environmentally Great Way to Store Food I love these containers. I keep purchasing more as my older plastic storage containers wear out. These are made of heavy glass. I have not broken one yet in the two years we have used them with kids. The lids are a little difficult for the grandparents in the family to get on and off but we are always around to help. I use these in the freezer, fridge, microwave, and dishwasher. I do wash my lids by hand. March 6, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Perfect Indiv. Serving Size but lids can be dicey I'd give it five stars but even though I am very strong I generally have trouble getting the fourth snapper to engage. The first three -- no problem. I have to sometimes lift the lid on and off, turn it around, and other shenanigans to get the fourth doodad to lock down. They stack great in the freezer, are a perfect individual serving size, nestle nicely in the cabinet, and clean up easily. None have ever kept a strong scent or stained regardless of what I stored. March 5, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great product leftovers can be seen with the clear glass, no stains left on plastic, can store and reheat with no problems. latches hold well. March 3, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Storing Leftovers I adore these Glasslock containers for storing leftovers. The body is made of glass so I don't worry about putting them into the microwave (or even the oven, though that's less common) to reheat the leftovers. They also stack really well with each other, making it easier to organize my fridge to see what I have. February 27, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Store, reheat and eat These Glasslock square containers were exactly what I needed when bringing my lunch the work. They are spill proof when the top locks and microwave safe, unlike plastic. Then easy to clean with no staining. A smart solution. February 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Get Rid of Plastic! These are great and I have been slowly getting rid of all plastic storage. They come in varying sizes and keep food very fresh. No problems at all with lids as it is just a tight seal. February 13, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good, But... I primarily use them for salad to bring to work for lunch. No leaking in my lunch bag. The one complaint is trying to close them. Sometimes I have to slap the side flap to get it to close. it is very loud. January 21, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dependable I love them. I can store food in the refrigerator, freezer, or on the shelf and the air tight seal keeps them fresh. Can be used to reheat in the microwave. December 27, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Lids are difficult In theory, these are great. The shape is good, and I love the glass. The lids are VERY difficult to operate however. I find them stiff and hard to close. If you have any arthritic issues or just weakness in the hands, you'd never get them closed at all. I've had them for a few months, never use them, and sure wish I could return them. November 19, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best storage I've had The largest size square storage container from Glasslock is extraordinarily convenient. They stack and store in the corner of my refrigerator so there's no wasted space like there is with round ones. I've bought 4 and recommended them to two friends who bought them and like them.. October 7, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Very nice! Glass is very sturdy, lids are as well, nice that the lids are bpa free. One place says not to use the lids in the microwave, another place says it is ok to use the lids in the microwave, I haven't tried yet (and not sure I will). They certainly seem to seal tightly, which is great! The three sizes stack together nicely. September 11, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not suitable for freezer use These containers are great for room temperature and refrigerator storage, but when used to store food in the freezer the plastic lids become extremely brittle. When frozen, the side snaps are easily broken, rendering the lids useless. Replacement lids are not available. If you need containers that are freezer friendly, look elsewhere. August 23, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Storage Solution I wanted to eliminate all my plastic storage containers. I purchased square, round, and rectangular containers. The lids fit perfectly, the containers all nest for easy storage, and I have the confidence that I'm using glass instead of plastic. August 13, 2013

I'd love to purchase these containters for packing lunches, but want to be able to nest glassware of the same size when they're being stored. It's difficult to tell from the pictures, can anyone who has purchased these say if they are able to be nested within each other when stacked?

Answer:
Without their lids, like sizes of our Glasslock Rectangles nest by about 1/3 of their height. For more compact storage, graduated sizes our Glasslock Rectangles can be completely nested with their lids on.
