I purchased this cart a few years ago and I love it! When we were shopping for this cart, my husband pointed out this one with the swivel front wheels! Yes it really makes a difference, turns like a dream. This cart is sturdy- I lug cases of water, cases of soda and all my grocery bags piled right to the top. The wheels have never fallen off, the cart is like brand new. I have the blue liner and that is heavy duty too! We go to farmers markets, swap meets, and shopping! I never leave home without it. It's been the best cart I ever owned. I've bought plenty of cheap quality ones that are flimsy, this one is great! I highly recommend! Maybe the others didn't put the wheels on correctly? Sometimes I even screw on a dual cup holder (like for buggies) when we're out all day at swap meets and flea markets. Folds right up and fits in the trunk. Buy it, you will love it!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Julie123 This is my third cart
I purchased my first cart two years ago when we moved to a high rise building. It's invaluable for getting groceries from the car to the apartment. I bought my second cart for my husband so he could get his dry cleaning home without having the hangers cut off the circulation in his fingers.
We use the carts at the farmers' markets every week in the summer, and use them to load and unload the car when we travel over the holidays. I purchased a third cart so our guests have one available to use when they visit.
These carts are sturdy and easy to fold and put in the car. Highly recommended.

I felt compelled to share this assessment, as I am a Container Store devotee, former employee, and lifelong customer.
NYC is home base of the shopping cart culture. And those of us who use them to haul things to and fro, the "four-wheel drive" of this model is second to none. You can maneuver it easily with one hand, which is a formidable quality when navigating uneven sidewalks.
I originally attributed the wheel coming off to overuse, taking it up and down subway stairs and the like. I was completely prepared to buy a new one (which would be cart #3!) after having to completely abandon mine in a subway station this weekend. I decided to read the reviews online this time and saw the the wheel separation was not a one off. Ultimately this concerned me, so I decided to forgo my re-purchase, but wanted to add to reviews so The Container Store could hopefully report this design flaw to the manufacturer and maybe it could get fixed.
Additionally, I read the comment made to one 'wheel falling off' review stating "the first time you put the wheel on you have to push the wheel really hard into the slot until you hear a click, which signifies that the wheel is properly placed." NOT TRUE. I am well aware of how the assemblage works, and tried to "re-snap" at least 50 times, but it eventually falls off.
ELFA forever. But steel shopping cart? SMH.

Should have read the reviews first. Only used it a few time and the wheels fall off. Very disappointed. Poor quality.
