Rated 5 out of 5Â by OrganizedInBrooklyn Versatile, stronger, lightweight, large capacity
I live in Brooklyn, NY and don't own a car (typical for NYC). This cart has been my "car trunk" for several years. I use it to go to the grocery store when I am doing a big shopping, and use it every other week to take my laundry to the laundry mat. It's the best cart I have ever had for these purposes, and I have owned many carts over the years! Also, the wheels are a modest size so when stored it takes up less room in my closet than other carts I have owned.

What a hunk of junk! Not worth a nickel, never mind $80 bucks. I love The Container Store but its management should remove this product from all store shelves immediately. Not worth the star I'm required to post.

Why do the wheels on this not spin?! Being aluminum, it's so lightweight and wonderful. This should spin like a rolling suitcase. We've come too far for this design spec to be overlooked. If you put a large case of water in this cart and try to turn it, it's a hassle! I am torn because the only comparable cart that does have spinning wheels is steel and heavy! So I feel like I have to choose between the inconvenience of no spinning wheels or heaviness. Ugh!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by MobileTeacher Light weight & sturdy cart
We recently purchased 4 of these carts to use in transporting class materials from location to location. We searched the internet pretty extensively to find a strong but light weight cart that was big enough to hold what was necessary. The wheels are big and don't wobble and the cart opens easily. So far these carts are perfect!
We haven't had them long enough to vouch for their durability but they seem well made.

I ordered this as a gift for my sister, a personal chef who makes daily walks to the grocery store. She loved it. She said it was very sturdy, worked well, and was even easy to take on the bus with her.

After years in NYC with cheap dollar store metal carts, I finally splurged -- and I am so glad I did! It has brakes! It is so easy to carry when full up and down stairs, the handle is comfortable, and it fits so much! Honestly this is one if the best purchase I've ever made.

I bought this for my husband for Christmas, along with the liner, 2 soccer chairs, and the portable table from another vendor. Everything fits in well. We can usually fit in a wine cooler because it's vertical. It rolls well down the path from the car to the lawn.

This cart is a life saver. I use it to transfer my mother's laundry to my house every week. There is a washable bag that fits in this cart also. It collapses and can be dragged through just about any terrain, including up and down stairs. Great product!

I'm adjusting to living in a high-rise with my car so far away, and this cart is a great help for getting several bags of groceries up to my flat or taking trash and recycling down to the dumpster. The way it folds is quite ingenious--no snags or clatter. It fits nicely behind the driver's seat in the car, and stands up in my entry way when folded.

I bought this cart to take to craft shows because I am tired of carrying bags around when they get full and heavy. This cart was absolutely perfect for my needs. I also purchased the liner for it. It is the perfect size and I had no trouble at all pushing it around on the pavement or bumpy concrete. Even though it is on the expensive side, I am extremely happy with my purchase. It was worth the cost. :)

Rated 4 out of 5Â by 5CatMom Incredibly sturdy!
I bought this cart 3 years ago when I moved into an apartment on the 5th floor. Fortunately the building had an elevator but it was a long distance to carry groceries, litter, cat food, etc. from the car. I have overstuffed this cart with heavy packages and it continues to roll on! Some of the front tubing is a little bent but I added a velcro strap to keep it folded up. Much sturdier than the thin wire ones. The only thing that would improve it would be rotating wheels to make it easier to turn corners.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by wpolorocker Great cart
I use this for groceries and laundry. I have to walk a block from my apartment to where I park and this has been really useful. I think it's fairly stable, but because the wheels don't swivel you could knock it over if you aren't careful. It's no worse than a normal rolling suitcase. This one is a bit larger than the steel one, but both models are very lightweight.

Rated 2 out of 5Â by Alex3333 Small light BUT HUGE DESIGN FLAW READ THIS BEFORE
Yes this is cute little cart. and good side is its very light and small and folding. We purchased this after comparing with larger heavy ones . TO get to the point. bad side of this cart is that Its TOO narrow in WIDTH wise and its unstable when full of grocery. Real life test is when you try to cross the street and go over the different type of pavement etc THIS CART TIPS OVER TO THE SIDE VERY EASILY AND IS VERY UNSTABLE you have to constanly careful when you pull behind you. esp when you roll down the side curve when not careful it looses balance easily and crashes!@! CART HAS TO BE WIDER or WHEELS HAS TO BE SMALLER ( NO. NOT BIGGER SMALLER wheels when compare to the size of the cart) if the wheels are too big compare to the cart it makes unstable with narrow body such as this cart. CONCLUSION is that we dumped this one looking for more stable and larger unit with WIDER and LARGER WHEEL. HUGE DESIGN FLAW!! THIS IS GOOD FOR LIGHT LOAD around the block but it really isnt worth money! its my true unbiased opinion.

Easy to put together, sturdy, cute, perfect for the famer's market and the grocery store. I bought the lining for hot days at the farmer's market. Otherwise, the cart is fine on its own.

I love this cart. It is very light and I use it at the nursery, farmers market and to carry floral and craft tools, equipment and designs. It takes up very little room and you can stack some things on top and below .The liner makes it a private container when necessary.

I recently moved to NY and couldn't understand how anyone buys anything heavy without a car for shlepping. The shopping cart is the answer. The design problems, which I wish someone would fix, are front wheels that don't swivel, and a handle that should be at more of an angle so it can be pushed like a stroller. Anyone who has used these carts knows what I mean.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by BeckyO Aluminum Shopping Cart with Liner
I think the cart is fairly well designed. The one thing that would make it perfect would be if it had swivel wheels to make turning the cart easy. I need a wheeled cart for transporting materials to and from work and like the capacity and the way the liner lifts out. Then, I can fold the very easily and put it in my car. That makes the system quite neat! Time will tell if the cart will hold up.l have had three plastic, wheeled "milk crate" carts, and all of them have cracked and fallen apart.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by vgrosenw EXCELLENT Folding Grocery Cart
this is an excellent, sturdy, but lightweight, folding grocery cart. other grocery cart users have commented on it, & i have nothing but accolades for it. the aluminum shopping cart easily holds 4 grocery bags, & is maneuverable over nyc's uneven sidewalks, pothole strewn streets & up & down multiple flights of apartment stairs & narrow hallways. improvements might be to a) lower the price, & b) to use front wheels which turn. overall, this is The Best folding grocery cart i have ever had the pleasure of using.

These carts make it so easy to transport items from the car to the house, the house around the yard, when taking a stroll to the grocery store in stead of driving, and on vacation when carrying the items that aren't kept in suitcases into hotel rooms. Take it to the fair, farmers market or amusement park with you to carry sweaters, coats and any goodies purchased or picked up so your arms aren't loaded down the whole time. I like the fact that the Container Store carries these items in stock at the store so the best cart for one's needs can be picked out there. I like the fact that this cart is sturdy; the only thing I might change is having the front wheels swivel, but that's okay, we just tilt it back a bit to go around corners. I like the large wheels they travel over many different terrains. We still haven't been to the beach to try it out there, but I am sure it would be great. I am going to keep a second one so we have one in the garage for household use and one to keep in the car trunk so we have it when we are out, because it seems to be used all the time.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by CharH Sturdy liner
I debated for sometime whether to get the liner for my cart of not. As I suspected, once the liner is in the cart, it's not as easy to fold up. I keep it in the back of my car, so when I come home with groceries or other heavy/difficult to carry items, I can just throw them in the cart and wheel up to my apartment (I live on the 5th floor). What I ended up doing was using a short bungee cord to keep it closed now that I've put the lliner in. If I don't use the bungee, the cart will not stay folded closed.
The liner is study. A friend has a different cart and the her liner is just a piece of flimsy cloth. This one looks like it will protect against wet weather. I hate rain and snow splashing up getting everything in the basket wet.
