Rated 5 out of 5 by works great I used these inside cabinet doors to hang cleaning cloths out of sight. They are installed on smooth painted woodwork. August 9, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Useless I bought 2 of these - one for the kitchen, and one for the bathroom - and neither one of them stuck to the wall/cabinet for more than a few hours before I even hung towels on them. Going to have to drill a hole for a real rack after all, total waste of money. August 13, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good value I bought this because I didn't want to drill holes in my new cabinets. I bought one 6 months ago, and it has worked so well, that I bought a second one for the other door. April 20, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Space saver Great for storing ugly, don't-want-to-display dish drying towels under the sink. Out of sight but still conveniently available! February 28, 2014

Answer:
The adhesive disks can be removed with a scraper. You will need to go in at an angle, get under it enough to let air in to break the vacuum, and it will peel off. Any outline or residue can be easily removed with "goo-gone" or acetone.
