.....not all magnets will work well with this board. The tiny, super-strong ones are best. Six very small, very flat magnets come with, but can be hard to manipulate, depending on your fingernail situation! Flex-vinyl magnets, such as those on most shopping list or memo pads, will slide right off if there's any weight attached, like a pad! The bamboo veneer layer is paper-thin; hope it holds up, especially along the edges. That said, it's just the size I wanted and looks good on the wall. The slightly rounded corners give it a modern feel, but it blends in well in my eclectic kitchen.

I would definitely recommend this board. It was very easy to install on my wall. The little magnets are unobtrusive, and cute. I would love to do 4 on the wall, with the lines going different directions, I just need to buy more! ;)

This blends into our oak cabinets VERY well. I've had many ask how I can get magnets to stick to my wood cabinet!
Thus, this isn't intrusive except for that which is stuck to it. If you have small children, you may want to keep this in mind when you "write on the wood".

Daughter (22) bought this board for reminders-and loves it-not to mention the exterior looks of the board!

This is a great item to attach all sorts of small notes. The magnetic property lets one stick up time sensitive slips, coupons, etc. As "stuff" changes the more permanent notes can be replaced with updated info.

I wanted to put up a magnet board in my kitchen that matched our hickory cabinets and these work well. Regular magnets do not really work well on it because of the veneer covering, but the magnets that come with it are very strong. I have not used it as a message board yet, and am a little afraid to because I don't want to ruin the woodgrain look of it. But I can put a notepad on it if needed to put notes on.
