Rated 5 out of 5 by Really good purchase at a really great price I Absolutely love this media storage box I bought 2 of them and I love that when you want to pull out a cd you can easily do so because you can see the cd titles, before this box i had a difficult time getting out the right cd and you couldn't see the titles so i had to take out all of the cds just to find the right one because they were stacked a different way and the bag i had was getting holes in it near the zipper part and my cds would come out the bag was not purchased at the container store, and now I really love my storage box it's much easier March 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Love my cd's! In spite of the latest music downloading trends, I love my cd's. This box is perfect for organizing, easing viewing, and access. December 2, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great storage for videos and games I had all my dvd movies and my son's games stacked in various places and was looking for a neater way to store and access them easily. I bought 3 of these large media boxes and I just love them! You can see the titles right through the cover. The cover is split with a hinge so you can open half of the box without having to remove the entire cover. One box will hold over 55 dvd or video game size boxes but it comes with dividers so you can store smaller size games and discs as well. They stack nicely too. November 15, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by perfect media storage purchase moving, needed sturdy media storage box that I could see inside of Jackpot ! this storage box is great! August 29, 2015

No. However I have them completely filled and they aren't too heavy to carry by the side handles.

Our media boxes can be used to store cassette tapes, but it will not hold them perfectly since the boxes were not originally designed for this particular item. They may be slightly loose inside of the box.

Staff Answer
Answer:
It seems the best solution for storing cassettes is using two of our Linusâ¿¢ 3-Section Tray(s) Clear (item #10049791) in the bottom of our Small Smart Store Tote Translucent (item: 10051177). In each Linusâ¿¢ 3-Section Tray, you may store 15 cassettes for a total of 30 cassettes in this solution. This solution will enable you to store your cassettes with the spine of the each case facing up in the tote for viewing titles.

You may double your storage by using the Medium Smart Store Tote Translucent (item # 10051178) (which is taller) and a total of four of the Linusâ¿¢ 3-Section Trays stacked upon each other in two layers. In this solution you would have to lift out each of the upper trays to see the tapes in the trays below.

The boxes are stored on their side so you can see the titles, and Blu-ray fits perfectly. I only have a few but you can see them in the picture.

This product is intended for DVD & CD storage, however, if your paperback books are around the same dimensions, or smaller than a DVD case, then you should be able to store them in the Large Media Box.

How well will this do in the basement?

I'm looking for a solution to archive my physical CDs in the basement and this might be it. How well will these totes protect against moisture? How do they compare to the watertight totes?

This product is not designed to stay in constant moisture but can hold up to limited exposure. Our watertight totes do not contain dividers but will protect against moisture. However, the watertight totes are not designed to be completely submerged.
