Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Stylish Solution to Way-Ward Shoes I purchased this item for my small mudroom/laundry room; I needed to corral all the family's shoes to keep the small space somewhat walkable! This did the trick and more; it's well built, stylish, and low impact (doesn't take up much space and isn't an eyesore), while hiding the shoes well. It also holds a bunch of shoes in the 3 compartments. I gave it 4 stars only because, as other reviews have stated, all 3 drawers open at once; you cant just open the top drawer, etc. Also, my kid's shoes sometimes don't stay put; it's definitely made for adult size shoes. But, all in all, I would definitely recommend! March 16, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Nice but didn't know all the drawers open together I like the cabinet but I didn't realize that you can only open all the drawers at once, you can just open the top or bottom. I think this could eventually lead to more wear and probably breaking. Not sure I would buy again now that I know this. November 9, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product for a tight entry way very slim, holds ~6pairs of shoes. Doesn't really hold very high tops. But GREAT for small apartments / small entry ways. Would be better if they have more colors! April 16, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sturdy, sleek, and slim! My mother is very hard to please, but she loved her shoe cabinet. She wanted something nice looking (not cheap plastic) and slim enough not to stick out and this shoe cabinet is perfect. It has holes in the back to hang it and one of the best parts is that it comes fully assembled! It would be great for a closet system, but it works as a stand alone piece near the door as well. Rated 4 out of 5 by must attach to the wall (wish that was made clear! looks well made and sturdy, but we gave it away after opening when we discovered it must be screwed into the wall (ours was bought for a location where we cannot drill holes in the wall....) I was so excited to replace our shoe cubby that is falling apart, and displays our shoes for all to see. was very disappointed that the initial description online did not state that this cabinet MUST BE ATTACHED TO A WALL with holes and everything... looks like a great shoe cabinet, I am sure my brother-in-law is enjoying it! Rated 1 out of 5 by attractive but not well designed This shoe rack cabinet is very attractive but not a well designed product. I love the container store but I really think this product failed. I put two of them on my wedding registry and when I received them I was so excited and immediately put them together. I wear a size 9 woman's shoe and my husband wears a size 10 men's shoe. My flats fit inside just fine. However I have a pair of stiletto's that don't fit because the heel is too high (it's only a 2" heel). None of my husband's shoes fit because they are all too long. I am still a huge fan of the container store but I do not recommend this product. June 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect solution After recently renovating, we decided to no longer allow shoes to be worn in the house. We were able to remove a section of sheetrock and sink this shoe organizer into the wall by our front door. Now we have a perfect place to store shoes and alternate between them and our slippers. It's an attractive solution to our specialty storage needs and blends beautifully with the rest of the built-in cabinetry. April 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Girls Fav My friends came over and I showed them my shoe storage. They LOVED it and were so envious. The gals each wanted a few for their home too. LOL! April 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product I saw this product at a friend's house. Loved the compact clean look on the wall. I am sharing this with a lot of my friends and clients who can use this. April 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for small entry Purchased this for our small back entry hall. Mounting it to the wall, and my husband is building shelves on either side to increase storage. Great addition!, well made. March 18, 2013
Rated 3 out of 5 by Pretty but not practical This slim shoe cabinet is possibly the best looking option out there, and therefore one of the most expensive I've seen. The metal exterior is sleek and high-quality, withstanding many bumps with no sign of injury. Unfortunately once you open the bins, it's a different story. The shoes are held in place by a flimsy plastic bar, and one of mine broke as I was putting the whole thing together. Even in the other two bins, the bar doesn't do a very good job keeping the shoes in place. The result is you have to re-stack all the shoes in order every time you open the thing, otherwise they'll jumble up so that you can't close the door. Also slim shoes like sandals and ballet flats tend to slip into the crack under the door. Also keep in mind this unit is small. It fits like, 9 pairs of shoes, tops. We use ours just for the shoes on heaviest rotation, which means I still have the dreaded shoe-pile for the rest of my collection. So while attractive, I don't think this unit will be the total solution for most people. March 18, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product!! It really is terrific, but I need 2 for all my shoes. March 11, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best shoe storage Fits from 9-10 pairs of women's shoes and it's made of steel which makes a big difference. The whiite one blends in with the wall, ideal for narrow openings. March 5, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for small spaces! I live in 600 Sq feet. These are a great space saver for my closet floors. So neat and tidy. February 17, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Just what I needed for a small apartment I remove my shoes as soon as I enter the door. i needed something to hold the shoes. Mission accomplished, it fits neatly by the front door. I only gave it 4 stars because it didn't come with the right hardware to attach to the wall ( I forgot this about the Container Store products). Luckily, I had something and It was a breeze to install. Second, it only holds six pairs of shoes ,if you have wider feet like me, not nine pair. Overall, it a neat and tidy way to stow your shoes in a small space. July 31, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Shoe Storage This is the best space saving shoe storage. It's sleek and slim and built to last. I love it! April 9, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good...Not Great I LOVE THE CONTAINER STORE! so much so, that I asked for this for my birthday. I love the compact size when closed and expected to sacrifice the space inside for that. I looked at that to be a reason not to have a gazillion shoes in the garage entry way in the first place. I did not expect all three drawers to open at once. Maybe I missed that in the product description, but I'd like to be able to open just one of the drawers at a time. My 4 year old bent over and opened the bottom drawer and smacked his bead on middle drawer when it opened too. I thought for $119, it could have included the mounting hardware and anchors instead of two little rubber rings. This is not something I want to get pulled off the wall so I felt it really should be sturdy for mounting. Leaving it sit on the floor isn't really practical for the way the drawers all open together. I intended to get two of these units and stack them or mount them side-by-side, but the price seems steep for something I planned for the garage entry so I am not sure I'd get another one like this, but will have to see how it works out with one for now. Rated 5 out of 5 by Small Spaces or Ample Rooms If you are looking for a storage solution, that will add order to your lifestyle, this is the solution. It will retain your shoes in an orderly fashion, while adding to or complimenting the decor of any room. March 5, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Stylish slim shoe cabinet The metal finished cabinet looks great in our garage. We have three hanging side by side and it looks clean and takes up minimal space. They are definitely the nicest looking cabinets I've had for shoes, but for storing only 6-9 pairs of shoes, it's fairly costly. March 1, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good but not Great We recently bought two of these cabinets to organize our small entryway. Their compact size and stated number of shoes it could store looked to be perfect for us. However once we got them home and installed we found that only part of that was true. The small compact size was great they fit very well in the area. But when we started to load in shoes we found that the drawers were too short for my shoes to sit in correctly and close and they would only hold two pairs of my wife's shoes. I actually had to lay my shoes down sideways and heel to toe and that way I was able to get in two pair. Not the best but it will work. For my wife's shoes we played around and found that we could put in two pairs easily and one other shoe sort of jammed in between. Again will work but certainly not the best. Now if you are thinking that I must have huge shoes. I don't think that is true. I wear a size eleven and a half. I don't think that is huge. My recommendation is to go into the store with a few pairs of your shoes and try the cabinet out. That way you can avoid any surprises. I also found that the included hardware does not really do the job for mounting the cabinets. I recommend going out and buying some self drilling drywall anchors from your local home improvement store. The ones include just don't tighten up and hold correctly. You may also need to add a third screw in the lower portion of the cabinet to keep the cabinet tight to the wall. I hope this review helps. I still think this is a good cabinet just not exactly as described by the store. February 27, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Shoe Cabinet Nice quality shoe cabinet for my garage. It only fits like 6 pairs so I'm going to need another one, but it barely takes up any space. February 10, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for Garage These look very sleek and work well for our ever growing number of shoes in the garage. They take up less floor space than a normal shoe rack, while providing easier access to more shoes. Easy to set up - we have two side-by-side. January 9, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by love this rack I love this shoe rack. It's all metal construction makes it very durable and it was very easy to mount . I expect it to out last me. December 26, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by European Style Enamel coated metal I have searched for many shoe racks and wanted something that would look nice and hide my dirty smelly athletic shoes. This is the one. A disadvantage is that when you open one drawer, they all open. I have lined the drawers with a rubber fabric liner and the strap holds the shoes in nicely. Not good for very high heels over 4 inches. I have mounted it on the wall on top of the baseboard and can even hang clothes in front of it, however, it looks beautiful and is very well constructed because it is made in Italy. It is an enamel metal and very sturdy. October 29, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Thank you, Italian Design I bought two of these (in white) and hung them just above the baseboard in the entrance to my tiny apartment. They look great, hold most of my shoes, and seem to to take up no room at all--especially hung above the baseboard. Sturdy and well made. October 15, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great shoe closet Easy to install. Took me 10 minutes. I have these in my foyer and closets. Can be installed stacked or side by side. Very sturdy. February 15, 2011

I am concerned with a review I read that the cabinet does not hold all sizes of shoes. A Q&A said it does hold a men's shoes of length 12.75 and below. My husband's she size is 11 (US) and I need the cabinet to hold his sports and walking shoes which are bulky and about 12.5" in length. Will it be a struggle to fit them in and/or open/close the cabinet? Thanks in advance.

Answer:
The depth of the drawer is 12-3/4" so any shoe smaller than that should fit, depending on the style of the shoe.
