Rated 5 out of 5 by These Are Great! Love how cheap these are, was a little worried that they wouldn't fit on our closet rod, but they did no problem. You can write on them with a sharpie or get sticker labels to label them. August 26, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Check on your closet rod first! I had carefully written out all my dividers, then went to put them in my closet. Too small for the rod in my closet! My fault, yes, but be sure to check the sizing before writing. February 24, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by A must for blind and low vision individuals Before I retired, I worked in the blind and low vision field. I always received calls from family members, asking questions about what they could do for their children (born blind or losing vision) or older relatives (recently blind due to diabetes or other causes) that would make daily living skills easier for them. When browsing through your closet section I saw these dividers and Wow! I used to tell them to ask a store if they had extras they could give away to them. You can use "puffy paint" available at hobby stores or (if Container Store wants, they could start carrying) or place "Braille labels" on them. Label them, red shirts, blue pants, green print shirts, black print pants, for examples. Puffy paint is great for dresser drawers, laundry machines, stove, shelving, etc. I hope this information helps. Love to Container Store. March 24, 2015

Yes they are. That is how I put mine on. They push apart at the split and you can get them on with no problems.

Answer:
They were flexible enough for me! I didn't have to remove the rod, but I suppose it would depend on how thick your rods are.

What about wire shelving?

Has anyone tried these inside a wire shelving closet? Or, can someone measure from the inside to the outer edge and tell me if this is more than an inch? I just want to make sure they clear the top easily. Thanks so much!

Answer:
The diameter of the divider is 3.5", with a center opening of 1 3/4". Most CD labels are 4.5" in diameter, so would not work. However, if you are able to find a label that fits between 1 3/4" and 3.5", that will work, provided you cut a slit in it for the clothing bar to pass through.
