I didn't have the same positive experience as other reviewers. I have had Golden Retrievers for 35 years so am always battling dog hair and cat hair. I thought I would try something new in case it was a "better mousetrap". I found it didn't remove all the pet hair and it was very inefficient because it took so many more strokes to try and remove fur from furniture and clothes. I will stick to the tried and true lint removers with a nap (not the sticky wands) which do an excellent job.

My short-haired dog sheds so much that I'm surprised he's not bald. And while he has no undercoat, his hair is wiry with back-barbs that make it nearly impossible to remove from upholstery. I'd tried nearly everything to get his hair off my sofas and chairs, with little success. Even specially-designed vacuum cleaners didn't work. For a while I was picking out the hairs one-by-one, and then I gave up. Until I found this product! I can't believe how well it works with very little elbow grease. I wish I had found this years ago!

I don't know about furniture, but I keep this brush in my bathroom to quickly sweep up both pet and human hair every night. It collects it so quickly and easily, I just love this thing! I have the long handled broom version as well in my kitchen.

This does not work very well on ultra-suede or microsuede or any product like that, which is bad in my home... I have a flat with a few pieces and most upholstered items are that. So, I would not recommend it for you if you are like me. Additionally I think with dogs with hair and not fur (I have a shih tzu and a maltese) they do not shed as much, and their hair is far more fine.
It did however work when we had a car with cloth seats, although that car is long gone.
