Rated 1 out of 5Â by johnonu1 DO NOT BUY! Piece of garbage
Purchase 2/14, broke 2/18.
I should've know when I opened several in the store to look at the quality and half had broken pieces.... I installed it and came home today and two of the 5 clips that keep it attached to the closet rod were broken. Needless to say my belts and ties were on the floor.
Hopefully Container Store stands behind it's products but seeing they sell this garbage I'm not keeping my hopes up! At least paid with Amex who will stand behind the purchase!

Rated 1 out of 5Â by TeriK I thought this would be the perfect thing for my husband's ties but I've returned 2 as neither one of them work properly, they just don't revolve like it says. Maybe this was a bad batch but I tried brand new batteries each time and still not working properly working. Very disappointed. Would be a wonderful closet addition if it did work properly.

Rated 1 out of 5Â by ContainThisHere Cheap, Poorly Made, and Sounds like it is dying
I returned this to the store. The Container Store always stands behind their products, so you can buy anything with confidence from them. I've spent thousands of dollars at the Container Store because of that. This was just a bad purchase, so I returned it. Instead I'm using 2 of their wall mounted tie racks. This item sounds like it is dying, even with 4 fresh C batteries. It moves slowly also. Light is useless.

No issues and works perfect in my closet. Had it about a month and even though it seems flimsy, it holds together pretty well

Rated 4 out of 5Â by smkm does the job...
for what it says it should do, it does a good job. My only issue with it is that the top part that screws down onto the closet rod, isn't very sturdy. If you twist too far, it can snap part of the plastic that holds it onto the bottom section...
Also, when putting ties on, make sure you space them out. If you just put them all on one side, it will tilt the gadget. Luckily my hubby has enough ties that they balance out.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by ackitty06 Immediately Broke - But Still Works
Great idea for tie and belt storage. However, after my husband installed this in his closet and hung his belts and ties on it (which, by the way, did not by any means fill up all of the hooks), the casing that goes around your closet hanging bar broke and the whole thing came crashing down. This happened literally within minutes of him installing it, likely because it's made of plastic. When it fell, several of the belt/tie hooks (also plastic) broke off, but that's not a huge deal since there are so many of them. Unfortunately, my husband immediately threw out the original packaging and decided he didn't want to try to return it. With lots of duct tape, we were able to re-secure it in his closet and, a few months later, it's hasn't fallen again.
I was torn over how many stars to give this product given how quickly it broke and it's price, but, with the duct tape, is it serving it's purpose and holds all of my husband's belts and ties in his closet while only using a small amount of hanging space. It does still rotate despite the tape.

The rack works well, and is fun to use. However, during installation, a small piece of plastic broke off. The rack still clings to the rod, and still works; but, it should survive installation...

Rated 1 out of 5Â by NatJo DO NOT PURCHASE THIS ITEM
This item broke in the first 15 minutes after I installed it. It may be able to hold ties, but it is NOT strong enough to hold belts. It fell from the rod and immediately shattered a couple of plastic pieces, including the piece of plastic that protects the light. I tried to reinstall it on the rod and the little plastic teeth on the top piece all broke off. I don't know how to return it, but I will figure that out. DO NOT BUY this product for belts...... I don't know if it can hold multiple ties, but it is not strong enough for belts. Because it is all plastic, it just breaks into pieces..... one segment at a time. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT TO ANYONE.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by MilwaukeeMom Nice solution!
My husband's ties were overflowing & falling on the floor so I bought him this for Father's Day. I had the same issue as some of the others... the rod in the closet rotated, which I didn't even realize until after I installed it. As the ties go around, the tie rack tilts forward & then back. My husband fixed the rod so it wouldn't rotate, but then when he went to tighten the screws on top of the rack, he heard a crack. It seems to be holding for now but I don't know if that crack will eventually give & we won't be able to use it. We'll see...It's nice otherwise. He wishes it rotated a little faster.

I purchased this for my husband, and he loves it. It keeps his ties organized and easy to see at a glance. We will be adding to his tie collection now that we have so much room to display them.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by KatyMom Great for ties but not belts
It's a good thing this is called a tie rack or else I'd say I don't recommend it. It's great for accessing the ties, but when you operate it, the ties get twisted up with the belts causing the belt holders to pop off. Hubby had to take the belts off and now has an ugly hanger full of belts next to it.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by smetch not quite perfect
If your closet rod rotates then you will have to find a way to make it not rotate for this item to work. It locks on to the rod well but the weight of the device with batteries will make the rod rotate and the tie rack with it. At that point gravity takes over and your ties fall to the floor.

Rated 3 out of 5Â by rmal Not that good
I purchased this tie rack after the one I had died after 10 years. The new one holds an adequate number of ties and they are easy to access as the rack turns. Negatives are that the motor is quite noisy (which may wake up anyone who is sleeping nearby) and the screw-clamps that hold the rack to the closet rod are ideal for a round rod, but not for one that is flat. It will remain on the flat rod, but the rack swings a bit back and forth as the it turns.
This is an adequate product, but, in my opinion, would be improved by fixing these 2 issues.

Rated 4 out of 5Â by organized1 Very Pleased
I bought this for my husband who has lots of ties. It holds all of his ties and belts with plenty of room to spare. My only complaint about this product is that if you hang lots of ties, then it is very difficult to get to the belts that are hanging in the middle. You have to reach through all the ties which usually results in multiple ties on the floor. Overall though, I am very pleased with my purchase!
