Expanding Hanging File
I love these things!
I absolutely love these. I bought one online not knowing the quality of these. They are well made and I use them to organize my research papers for college. I'm going to buy more ASAP to organize the mass of papers in the home office. You can put them in a filing cabinet and pull them out and throw in a backpack or purse and be on your way with out any fuss.

I am using these for a few different things - keeping up with my tax receipts monthly in each section - manuals - and kids' 'needs to be saved' items. These are really durable and work great - and they truly do expand a TON!

Makes Tax Time a Breeze
I LOVE this hanging expandable file! I keep it in my top file drawer in my home office and file all my receipts, invoices, paid utility, medical and credit card bills, etc. in there by month. Makes it easy to find a receipt if I need to do a return and to document tax deductible expenses. At tax time, I have everything I need at my fingertips for the accountant. And after our taxes are filed (usually in early Feb, thanks to my magic file!), I archive the previous year's paper work in a smaller 13-pocket accordion receipt file, stick it in a Container Store translucent File Tote Box (with the previous 6 years' receipts) and start fresh filing the new year's receipts in my hanging file!

it's sturdy, the best thing are the tabs at the sides on the top that allow you to slide them in and out adjusting them to the sides of the drawer tightly.

Looks like the perfect thing for organizing those tax papers and for keeping my committee papers in order, sorted by subtopics, do it now projects, minutes, and the like. Strongly recommended to get more paper out of big piles on your desk and into that drawer.

Purchased one of these to check it out but want more. I thought it might be good for organizing my file cabinet into larger categories that will hold sub-categories. I was right. I can use it for "Appliances" with the pockets to hold "Kitchen", "Office", "Laundry", etc. The hanging rods are easily retractable and the file has elastic bands to hold it together like a large envelope if you should need to transport it. I'm thinking it would work well for carrying medical information and files if you are seeing a specialist or are a care-giver, or for people who must carry files for business or school.
