great for camp too!

My kids camp is w/o airconditioning. We sent battery operated fans but where do you put them?... on the BUNK BED SHELF. It was just perfect for the bottom or top bunk. Easy to assemble too.

This is probably one of the best things for a dorm room, especially if you are bunking your bed. I ended up putting my alarm clock on it, and I love it. It's is small and out of the way but large enough to hold and alarm clock and a cell phone if need be. It keeps them out of the way, and you don't have to worry about them getting lost in all the other stuff on your bed, or falling to their doom from the top bunk. Really handy, really great, and really inexpensive.

The Shelf that Could

Pros:Â strong and durable, holds a wide variety of stuff, easy to install

Cons:Â it can wobble at times

This shelf is perfect for any college student, without a doubt. For a person who reads a lot or watch a movie from their bed, the shelf definitely delivers. Personally, I use it for my charging my phone (which also acts as my alarm clock), my glasses for when I get up in the morning, and a glass of water. There is enough surface area and strength to hold all three things. I sometimes use the pencil/pen nook as well, if I wanted to take notes on a movie I was watching.

Before I had the shelf, I would put my phone and things on top of my printer, which was rather inconvinient and required a long stretch to reach. Now with the shelf, everything I need is right next to me, making for a less cranky me in the morning.

My friends have never seen anything like it, as it is one of the first things that catches their eyes as they enter the room. After they see what it is, they immediately ask where I got it from- the one and only Container Store (which some of them have never even heard of it until they saw that shelf). This product is top-notch and pretty handy, to say the least.

Very helpful

This is great for people on the top bunk. I was able to rest a small clock, glass of water, and occasionaly a book light or something on it without having to worry about it falling. A little tricky to install, but not too bad. I'm not sure just how much weight you could put on it though, it can only be so secure.

Necessary for bunk

This is a necessity if you are on a top bunk. Great for keeping night time necessities without adding expensive wall shelves that may fall and hit you during the night.
