Useful closet
This item is very useful and worth to buy and it's pretty steady as long as it's not standing by itself. My teens are using it and what I like about this product too is that I can keep it close to keep the dust out.

Wardrobe collapsed!
Very disappointed that this wardrobe did not last as it fits my space perfectly. I even bought two of these and am waiting for the 2nd one to collapse. It's already leaning. I also put heavier items on bottom and lighter items on top.
Will the Container Store provide metal connectors in the middle that will hold up? I hope the store will contact me. I will have to replace both items to create the matching look and to fit my space.

Horrible product
I purchased this item a few months ago for extra dust free storage. It is collapsing and looks like it will fall over. I ensured the bottom rack was full before placing items on the top rack. Do not purchase this it is a waste of money.

space saver
Very happy with my purchase. I wish the clothing racks were positioned just a few more inches lower than the shelf so hangars can fit better. The way it is now the hangars barely squeeze in due to shelf, and it would be hard to take hangars in and out. In comparison, I purchased another wardrobe holder that was not the double decker like this one and the hangars fit much better. Between the 2 items I like this one better as a space saver and needed this for my teenagers clothes. I put it together myself and it was not a problem.

sturdy and suits purpose
I purchased the wardrobe for its handsome appearance, the double hangings capacity and the fact that you can close the wardrobe so that it can look neat when you have guests over. I have it to the brim and it was full, used it for years and all the reasons that I bought it for still holds true. It is pretty sturdy. I've never had any problems with it collapsing or caving etc and it is always full and I even have some really heavy coats in there. Of course it is not as sturdy as those really expensive corrugated steel ones but there's a huge difference in price level. I found this item to be really useful and it serves its purpose!

Not sturdy
Bought this for my overflow, not anything heavy, just a few shirts. After 2 weeks the plastic supports broke and the closet collapsed. Unfortunately the supports are part of the shelves and would need a complete replacement. Total waste of money! Maybe if they made the shelves out of metal it would last longer.

Poor construction
Was exactly what we needed for my daughter's dorm. I wish I would have read the reviews before we bought it. It is slowly collapsing. Not even 8 weeks into the semester and she doesn't have hardly anything in it so it's not even the weight. Waste of money! Looks are deceiving!

It does Collapse: don't buy it
I bought this clothes hanger and eventually it collapsed as the other reviews mention. It looks good but poor construction. I wish I had read these reviews before purchasing.

Don't do it
After reading the reviews about this item slowly collapsing, I thought that I would get it anyway and do it better.
It collapses. No matter what. I have one empty, one with some clothes in it - nothing heavy. They are both listing to the left, and then collapse.
This lasted a couple of months. They should just rent them out and let you exchange over and over again for a new one, and when that one collapses, you get a new one.
I thought I was going to avoid the poor construction -but I didn't. I suggest just don't bother with this.

Looked great but poorly constructed
I purchased this closet for my apartment. It was the perfect size and was easily put together. However, it started to lean and in the middle of the night fell over onto my bed while I was sleeping. Many of the rods were bent in the process, and I wound up throwing the whole thing away. This is not a good investment - try something else.

Not durable
I loved this product at first. Then it started leaning and then the plastic connectors cracked and the rack collapsed. I was using it to hang some shirts and pants - nothing heavy.

goodsize
this storage unit was easy to put together and did a very good job of organizing light weight articles on it's two shelf system. the original of price of 99.00 dollars was little high but I was lucky enough to get it on sale for 69.00 dollars. the one requirement is to put it in a room with a tall ceiling, the unit is almost seven feet tall. it looks a little out of place if the ceiling is not over eight feet.

Better than I thought it would be
The double hang clothes closet actually holds more than I thought it would. Since moving into a very small townhouse with three tiny closets, I didn't know how to handle the multiple sets of clothes (work, workout, casual) for my husband and me. Instead of building a closet on one wall, we simply moved in two of these double hang closets; I am so happy with the amount of storage it has for our clothes.

Should be a bit more sturdy
I would rank the Double Hang Clothes Closet a five, but the durability of the product leaves a lot to be desired.
The Double Hang Clothes Closet was very easy to assemble and the double rod makes this a instant must have! Shirts on the top and pants on the bottom!!
I bought two Double Hang Clothes Closet on Saturday (on sale fore $69.00) and assembled with ease, but the next day (Sunday) both closets are leaning forward and may topple over at any given moment. One closets looks perfectly fine inside, no visible bending of the bars or cracking in the plastic frame, but the unit is leaning forward. The other closet has a slight crack in the plastic frame and the entire unit is leaning forward.
I really wished the closets would have been durable, as I feel that I did not over burden them, and bought two of them, so that I would not have too many clothes one bar. In each closet the bars contain polo and dress shirts on the top bar; dress slacks, jeans, and suit coats on the bottom bar. I am a male and most my of clothes range from medium to large.
Please be aware that the Double Hang Clothes Closet may not be able to sustain the weight of your clothing, so either buy one more than you think you may need if the space is available to help alleviate potential weight problems. Other than that this was a solution and I hope that I am able to find something that is comparable, affordable, and sturdy.

Great Purchase
Very pleased with purchase and my son love it. Is taller and not that wide. It had a great price. I'm going to go back for the Joy Mondago hangers. Have them and they are great.

Double hang closet works great
As a bike commuter, I use this closet to store my clothes in my office at work. It is relatively inexpensive and simple to put together on my own. It did not require any tools to assemble, but the instructions were a little unclear and I had to take some of it apart to reassemble once I realized my mistake. Once set up, it has a nice clean appearance and I can zipper the cover closed to hide my clothes during the day. The support rods seem strong enough for the few shirts and pants I hang in the closet, but I would be cautious about hanging too much weight from the rods. I placed a couple bins on the bottom rack to put socks, belts, etc in. Overall, it works great for my needs.

Sturdy & super easy to assemble!! No tools needed
I purchased this today and came home to assemble and was super easy and fast. It took me like 1/2 hour or so, and I assembled it all by myself!! It stores a lot of clothes and is big enough to store containers inside. I used the top side to hang clothes and bottom to store containers! Smart & great purchase!! On sale right now $69 reg price $99
Very sturdy!! Fit perfect in my small bedroom!

Not durable
This freestanding closet is a good size and holds a lot of clothes, but it has a few problems. First, the wire shelves don't have enough clearance between the clothes rod and the shelf so it's odd to try and hang up your clothes (the hanger gets caught on the wire shelf). You have to do it slowly and carefully. Second, we needed to move the wardrobe a little, and probably should have unloaded it, but we did not, and now it leans precariously. We are going to try rig some improvised cross bars in the back to stabilize it, and I hope it works. For $100 I would have expected something sturdier. It is not sturdy at all.
